do not put in the entire net folder, only the contents. you go into net in minecraft.jar, then minecraft, then client, and then drag in the provided minecraft.class
Actually, you do. I tried doing both ways on a fresh minecraft bin, and putting the net folder into the jar worked.
So long as the program you are using copies the files correctly =) But yeah, both ways should work with most zipping programs.
Well damn. Just what I'm looking for but it isn't working. I followed the instructions to a T. I'm on a Windows 7 system. I can't get the chat to come up so I guess that means I'm having problem with the minecraft.class?
Copied 3 files over and deleted that folder. After reading through everything, I guess the only thing I could try is deleting the minecraftapplet.class? I really don't know what to do and I'm pretty computer savvy so this is kind of irritating lol. Maybe if I do a fresh install and then immediately do this? This is the first mod I've tried but I've been playing for quite some time. Just want some tnt, damn lol. :smile.gif:
Thanks for taking the time to do this though. Any help is appreciated. I'll still keep on it and try to figure out a solution.

If minecraft is working after installing this mod but pressing 'T' doesn't work it sounds like minecraft.class wasn't copied over the old one. Make sure minecraft.class goes here within the minecraft.jar: net/minecraft/client/minecraft.class.
Also, make sure you haven't bound 'chat' to another key in options > controls.
hey I have a glitch/ bug that I think you should know about.
I started using this mod today on a new world and built a house with it, but as i was building it did this thing where if i placed a block that had been spawned with the command it would place 3 blocks.. one after the other until it touched me (as in
[] [] <-- thats the block i placed )
after a while (1-2 hours) of play it started happening on every single block i placed. so i was placing one block then having to clean up 2 or 3 others. i have a video of it happening that ill upload via mediafire its a .avi 139mb file (sorry about size its compressed into a .rar) http://www.mediafire.com/?kd5wh8t1sctikv2
also the blocks that i clean up make it lag for half a second
Im using Windows XP SP3 32 bit
3 gig ram
intel core 2 duo CPU 2.2GHz
intel family chipset graphics chipset (stock laptop) 256mb i think
Could it work with a Mac?
I use 10.4
I am highly interested in this mod.
Glad to see one like it!!
If it does. How would I install it on my mac?
Well since java is platform independent all you should have to do is open the minecraft.jar (with a zip viewer/editor) and replace the 3 class files in the mod, the same as windows users. I don't have a mac to test it on, but i am pretty confident it would work.

Do you have any other mods installed?
Have you had any other mods installed in the past?
This sounds like strange behavior that is all, like i have mentioned previously I have been using this mod since i made it and haven't really seen many problems (well any that i haven't fixed). But I will watch the video and try and reproduce it on my machine if i can, i have one with basically the same specs as yours.

heh sorry about that its a 20 sec video so i dont know why its so big...
i have functional books and 303's mod loader on now, but i have had that popular minimap one (cant remember the name) and a few inv hacks that no longer work, but since then i have had a fresh minecraft.jar installed
Hmm looks like lag like in smp sometimes... what is the cpu and memory usage of minecraft when this happens?
it isn't lag though.... im on about 60-80 fps then when that happens... ummm it uses about 1.2gig of memory and a **** load of my cpu speed 80% plus. I cant have any program running in the background or it crashes the minecraft.

Wow 1.2gb of memory? That is possibly the reason, minecraft is limited to using only 1gb of memory (1,024MB to be precise) when it gets over that mark and hits the limit it will cause game problems such as unexplained crashes, chunks not loading correctly, save corruption and game lag.
Does minecraft always use 1.2gb of memory, or does it start low and over time go up?

it starts around 540mb but when it gets into the actual single player environment it jacks up to that.
I suspect its because my computer is ****. it is a school issued laptop and it has a few background services that are hidden and very resource intensive. (and yes ive tried to remove them ) but all hope shall be restored when i build my beast! /sigh

Shouldn't work at all on server. Should only work in single player mode.
Sadly it doesn't work with the Controler Block mod, because of the bq.class. =(
I'm looking at why this is happening now and I can't work it out, something funky is happening in cy.class

Link? I am also assuming that this mod is 1.2.6 compatible?
