I think we must agree to disagree. All I ask is if you answer a question you spur some thought and action on the part of the one asking. Providing an answer with no work on the part of the asker encourages this childish behavior to continue. Since it is apparently impossible for me to get this mod to function properly with Forge, is there some other mod like this that -is- compatible with Forge? or is there a version of Forge that -doesn't- automatically download MCP?

So I'm going back to 1.4.5, because back then my #1 most important mod (called "Ultimate Fist", produced only by Germans) worked with Forge, and it was only the 1.4.6 update where they switched it from needing Forge to needing Risu's Modloader (god knows why).
But what I need to know is:
-Is there a version of SPC that works with Minecraft 1.4.5?
-If so, where/how can I get it?
I looked at page 1 post 1 again, and it seems from reading that (and from what my memory can recall) that 1.4.5 is the ONLY version of MC that NEVER had an official release of SPC for it. After 1.4.2, the game changed so much that Simu just couldn't keep up enough to update, but he finally did when the game was up to 1.4.6, and that's the version I've been using for the past 3 weeks. I'm assuming that there wasn't ever any version released that was actually compatible with 1.4.5, but the situation is too complex for me to remember accurately, so I'm just asking you guys.

If a PC the entire *.minecraft folder (the MC\bin & minecraft.jar is inside it) AFTER you make a copy somewhere else.
This:
"*.minecraft"\bin\minecraft.jar"
My path: (XP)
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\.minecraft
If later than XP there is a "Roaming" in there somewhere.
The ENTIRE folder!

Did you try clicking the spoiler underneath where it says "Previous Downloads"? It lists the version you want.
I will tell you now though, that if you use Forge, it's most likely not going to work. If you read the last few pages, you know why. Forge downloads MCP and SPC isn't compatible with MCP.
EDIT: It really makes me wonder why people actually makes mods that aren't compatible with what seems to be the most popular mod loader.

I sure wish someone could tell me how to make this work with Forge. It is most definitely this mod that isn't working, because I only use two mods, and Forge. I've got this and Optifine. I started with a clean jar, added Forge, loaded Minecraft, it works. I then added SPC, loaded Minecraft, it gets past the Mojang logo and I can create a world, but it freezes during generation every single time. I can't post a crash log, because it doesn't crash, it just freezes until I have to force close Java through the Task Manager.
Apparently it's working now... I don't see what the damn difference is between using Magic Launcher and adding the mods myself. Doesn't it do the same thing I did, and unzip the files into the jar? I'd really rather not have to use a different launcher... but whatever. I swear Minecraft modding is more complicated than any other modable game I've ever played.
Now if only I could find a mod like mcMMO for Singleplayer, and I'd have everything I want.
I know 1.4.7 opened with MagicLauncher works with Forge and SPC added in that order. I have no idea about any other versions.
There is a 1.4.4/1.4.5 SPC version released. I have it.
It's listed under "downloads; previous downloads" on page 1.

Are you reading or scanning? Maybe you should slow down just a little. I've found when I get in to big a hurry I make mistakes. For me, it's often faster if I slow down and think about what I'm doing. And it ALWAYS takes less time to do something correctly once, than to do it half-assed, then redo it a few times.
I was working on my CTM map and sometimes world edit doesn't load. Sometimes it loads but the brushes aren't working. Is there a solution for this? I've been looking for one and I can't find one.

I have to chase my wand too (since 1.3.2). Put it in your hand, and left click a block, it should say something about pos1, right click a different block, it should say something about pos2. OFTEN you must click a different block than the one you really want first, then the block you want. Pay attention!!! You can destroy an entire world in a second!

Didn't you get a notice about Java updates? I don't know if that the problem but I'm at version 7 update 11.

Anyway, I have playede in a functional worldedit world before and I know waht message comes up when a block is left/right clicked with the wand. MY problem is that the message does not come up for me. DOes it have to do with my gamemode? (probably not)...help

It actually loads up your mods without modifying minecraft.jar, a further explanation would be very technical.
As for a Singleplayer version of mcMMO, that's an interesting, but rather strange, idea.
It'd be only really useful for people who play worlds over LAN mode with their friends a lot,
otherwise there would be no competition, and you'd be the only one on the skill leader-boards.

You shouldn't really use a custom launcher with Forge, because they work in a similar manner.
Forge has it's own class loader, so in other words, it handles loading your mods,
so if you go and use a custom launcher it may load things in a different manner, and cause problems.

SPC is technically incompatible with Forge, it so just happens that the things it breaks aren't very essential to Forge's workings.
SPC isn't "technically" incompatible, it -is-. SPC doesn't work with MCP, and I haven't found a single Forge version that doesn't automatically download MCP. If you try to use SPC with MCP, you can't play Minecraft, it freezes up. I don't know why, but it just doesn't work. I tried it many times in the past week, but it only worked when I got Magic Launcher. If Magic Launcher is the only way to make it work, then that makes it necessary to use a custom launcher if you want to use SPC with Forge.
