Trust me, it happens. We chased our tails for a week with a young woman because she had an old old version of WE in the *.MC\bin where it belongs and insisted she'd also done it correctly.
You might also try this: WE latest .jar
WorldEdit Updates can be found here: http://build.sk89q.com/job/WorldEdit/ .
Get the snapshot. Drag the worldedit.jar in the snapshot to your *.minecraft/bin. If there is one there replace it!

I use SK's launcher. sk89q wrote both WE and the launcher, even it doesn't put the WE in the correct place.
Try the open a primitive world then the world really want trick too!

I'm probably being stupid here, but nevertheless i will ask: would it be possible for you to give dates on when those old commands will come back out?
If this makes no sense, ignore me, i just want my favorite command to come out, /range
Simo used to provide an MCP version, so people could make their own plugins.
I was probably the only person who ever did
I think the person means the '/reach' command, which would adjust the reach distance.
I tried a few times to make /path work... Never had any good luck. It does work now. I thought I'd leave a trail where i'd been in strongholds. One big advantage to RP was the ability to recover iron from RR tracks, metal doors, and iron bars. The RP folk I'm sure would like /repair damage fixed.
/reach is what I thought too, but if he can't remember his favorite command how favorite could it have been?
/reach and /noclip seem to be the ones most often requested. Those are high on my nice to have list too, but I can get by with what we have. Especially with fly back.
Hmm, This is really annoying, I'm trying to work on my map, but the //brush commands don't work, first of all, they only work with one slash /
2nd of all, they don't do anything.. Same with the wand, the wand does absolutely nothing.
I've tried downloading the latest Worldedit snapshot, it still doesn't work.. All commands at player position work, like //Pyramid, but none relating to tools work, I've tried going into survivalmode, adventure, creative.. Nothing.
And yes, I've put worldedit in the right spot..
Please leave me a PM, or atleast a comment too help

I made this map! Please check it out! It's a really awesome map that took me over a year to make! :3
I'm not sure why he decided to suddenly reimplement certain things - but until the reimplementing of noclip happens we should just go with what we have and NOT ask these kind of questions.
What they said. Creative Mode uses INSTANT block breaking no matter what tool is used that is what makes creative mode so handy because if you put down the wrong block you can just destroy it again in one hit with whatever you have in your hand ^^
Ok then.

Without your impetus I wouldn't have seen the new update.
Honestly, was there a copy in the *.minecraft\bin?
Thanks back at you.

There has never been a /range command that I know of.
It's now open source. Learn to code and YOU can create a /range command!
