Heres why it is taking so long: Mojang added the lan and the cheats. The lan will mess this mod up and the cheats means that he has to make it so the commands work without the cheats enabled. and the lan means multiplayer so he has to make it work for everyone on lan. Thats why its takin a long time.
Hmm. I made an attempt at betterlan yesterday. It was a bit complicated. I wasn't actually after it to get worldedit or whatever. I wanted plugins in my LAN with me and my sisters. It wasn't THAT bad though. I'd say it took like 20 minutes to install. Check this video:
The problem I ran into was that many of the plugins seemed to be incompatible with it. I got essentials (all 4 files) to work, but not the other 3 plugins I attempted.
How did you get essentials to work? I got plugins like chestshop to work but not essentials. I had to go with jcommands
I thought it was the actual thing? And sorry i was kinda trying to buy time for simo away from the whinners but whatever. Curse me out if you must. And about MCEDIT?? Want to curse me out for being right about that? That, my children, is what we call, a reputation deprived person.
Mcedit is annoying to me... I managed to ruin 5 worlds trying to get custom spawners. I did what the tutorials told me but noooo mcedit wanted to be a piece of crap.
People, people, chill out and quit bothering him. He's doing all he can.
The main problem is that Mojang made it so even your basic single-player worlds are running a LAN server, in addition to having the whole "cheats enabled" option. What this means for Simo is that he has to make all of those commands be able to run even when cheats are disabled, in addition to having to ensure that they work for the LAN servers. Add to that the adventure mode and having to probably add stuff or figure out what to do about that, new ID codes from the new items, and stuff that's been put in place to actually run commands (redstone command block, etc.), and Simo has a buttload of work that needs to be done to get anything working properly. WorldEdit more than likely faces similar problems, but that isn't Simo's job - he just makes it an addition to SPC and puts it in with his mod. Go bother the actual creators of WorldEdit if you need it so badly.

Someone give this guy a medal.
He's right, just be patient. Seriously this guy has a life outside of Minecraft, let him enjoy it. He will update it when he can, so just wait.
I little off topic , ive got this and several other mods on watch and im only realy interested in getting a notification if the "original post"
is updated by the author but i cant find any such option. So im getting all the other "whens it comiing out crud" surely there's a way to only
get notified if the thread creater update their main post ?. ala like the bukkit dev site where you can
get notifications on file - updates or comment udates, or ticket update which is great no chuff to sort through
And for the mod, I'm not going to rush you, for I know modding is hard, especially a single player mod converting to multiplayer, so I am simply to wish and hope it's out soon, good luck, and thank you for, what I and a lot of others feel, to be the best, most convenient mod of all time.
And last, I still have 1.2.5, Is there a way I can spawn the "monster (49)" mob? I'm sure that it was asked before but I looked back and on the front page and and YouTube and found nothing on how to spawn this, If there is a mod or something that that is required, could someone please help me out? Thanks.
If you're talking about the ones that look like steves, that run after you and attack you, those were removed entirely from the game (/wrists)
All those updates in which notch jokingly said "removed herobrine" was him slowly removing monster, bit by bit, like an abortion.

Herobrine was never in the game though, "removed herobrine" was also used to shut people up about Herobrine sightings. Yet it never actually worked because people still think herobrine exist. What is the monster 49?

Monster "49" is the original name for the first hostile mob Notch created, which was basically a Steve-skinned zombie. It never formally existed in the game and could only be spawned through programs like SPC (kind of like the giant). As far as I'm aware it may have very well been completely removed, and players can no longer spawn them at all.

I'm not Rushing him to update single player commands i just really Want to have world edit in single player cause the better lan mod doesn't work for me. shouldn't it be a bit simple to add world edit to the already built in chat? with cheats on.
Just an idea to the mods on this forum maybe give the top modders the ability to hide their threads till they've updated their mods?
well actually it should be ability so accept/deny if the comment can be posted so people can post ideas for newer versions of the mod, Or maybe a setting where you can ban certain words like update or version so it doesn't get spammed as much to update

No, it really isn't. Here's why:
First, you have to get World Edit to work with the LAN option. This means that you have to have it set up to already exist for servers, meaning multiplayer support and all that jazz. That's a lot harder because you have to take into account various server properties, how it interacts with LAN (because LAN is different from your basic multiplayer, so you have to code it differently), etc.
Secondly, in order to get it to work around the "disabled cheats" option, you have to not only have it already coded to work with the LAN and everything like that, but you then have to get all that code to work around however the "disabled cheats" options works. Meaning separating all of the commands and code from SPC/WorldEdit from the built-in vanilla commands Minecraft already has. That takes a lot of time and effort, too. Factor in the fact that he has a real life and shouldn't have to put that on hold for us (combined with probable jetlag from coming back from overseas), and it takes a good long while.
Also, complaining about not having WorldEdit is a childish thing to do here (which, judging by your picture, makes sense), because Simo does not actually work on World Edit - he just adds World Edit to his own mod and makes sure the two are compatible. So don't complain about World Edit here - contact the person/people who develop that mod and complain to them.
Edit: Or, OR here's a better idea: just default back to 1.2.5 for the time being. Sure, you won't have a bunch of stuff, but at the very least you'll have your precious mod to play around with.
Here are your options:
1. Be patient and wait for simo to get done what he needs to get done. That might mean waiting a week, but it'll be worth it.
2. Go back to 1.2.5 and, again, wait 'til simo updates SPC to 1.3. You can just live with an outdated version of Minecraft for maybe a week, but you'll still have the mod.
3. Momentarily use a different program that probably achieves the same thing, i.e. MCEdit or VoxelSniper (which I believe might actually work for "singleplayer" now given the LAN and all that, I dunno haven't checked it out yet).
Mcedit is annoying to me... I managed to ruin 5 worlds trying to get custom spawners. I did what the tutorials told me but noooo mcedit wanted to be a piece of crap.

People still have their threads open to support those still on 1.2.5 and are experiencing trouble.
