It would be nice to the faithful users to put a progress bar like most the other mods have done or simply comment in the OP to let us all know the status so we know a bit more about what's going on. It would also stop the whining about when's it going to be updated, or at least lower the amount of it...
Just do the little things while you wait, When you finish detailing what you have right now SPC may be updated, but if not it should be at least close.

Whining about whining doesn't help. And an update in the OP will only do so much - people complain either way.

Still, it would most likely cause less whining than leaving it tied open. People like indication for how long they wait. Even just a percentage, even an estimate, would shut up a TON of people in the thread.

I doubt it. Anyone who has been around this thread for an update knows that no matter what I do people still ask.
If you really must know... I'm guessing there is around 40 hours work remaining to get it properly working. The issue is that this update changes a LOT of things for me (and probably some others), this mod updates and changes hundreds of classes of which the core components have changed. This makes it very hard, give me patience and time and I'll provide a proper update of progress in around 5 hours.

are you still on 1.2.5? If you're playing 1.3, this mod won't work yet. The next update is still being worked on. If you're playing 1.2.5, check other mod compatibility issues (if you're using other mods, of course).

Giving them anything is a mistake IMO. It just encourages the whining and God help us if your ESTIMATE passes before the update is complete!
My suggestion is ask the Moderator to lock the thread until you tell him(?) differently.

as much as i dont like the idea, i think the guy may need to wait until 1.4 to update it. I mean Mojang is really pushing this 1.4 update already with snapshots.
