I'm not the biggest fan, you have a nice concept but i feel it makes the game too easy, please tell me how to uninstall.
SPC is made for cheating...It is a tool for building huge things faster and easier. If you don't want to cheat, just don't use it. Creative isn't good enough for the most of us.
hey guys! im sort of new to minecraft and there mods........ if your good at giving advice with mods and what not it would be cool if we could be friends on the game
Below your avatar (upper right) is a search window. Use it and read at least the prior 5 pages before posting your question and we'll get along famously.

PS NEVER ask for an update!!!
if you dont like it the short and sweet is to delete your bin directory for the game.
c:// ---> users ---> (whichever user you installed MC on) ----> appdata ---> roaming ---> .mincraft ---> Bin (delete the whole folder)
After you do this log back in to the game and you will start downloading another bin that has not been messed with. This will not effect any zones that you have played thus far it will only delete any mod you have ever installed.
This is the downide of the easy installer. Unless you have been adding mods to your game for a long time you don't know where the directories are...
Another thought. Before installing mods in the future I would recomend reading all of the authors first post at the least. Then you will know if it will alter the game in some way you don't like. Also, you may want to consider youtubing videos of any mod before use so you can see it in action to validate that is what you want.
My personal thoughts on a game entirely designed to be modified by its users is this. Tools that are developed for a completely mod open game are no different than me using a pneumatic nail gun to build a house while you run around with a hammer.
both are effective tools and we each have preferences good or bad, but they are tools just the same. In this game they are tools not cheats. If you prefer think of it like this. Most of the users of this mod will have exhausted their individual entertainment of the raw game. This mod allows for another dynamic to the game. It also allows creative mode players to accomplish builds much faster. It allows you to spawn rediculous amounts of enemies for a modified suicide run...
For instance a modified suicide run. Use this mod to add every enchant at max to your diamond armor and weapons. Then build a massive room and install spawners of every type by the dozen. Load the game without turning off damage and see how long you last.
Anyway the point is it is just another way to enjoy the game with a pneumatic nailgun rather than a hammer alone.
how do i update my minecraft im on the version 12.2 PLEASE HELP IM A Beginner at the i want the single player commmad promt mod but i have no clue how to do any of this any one please! lol
Just a reminder to loram. It sounds liek you are reaching the end of your rope. Unfortunately the role of anyone that is in the position of mentor is to keep a fresh mind with each person. You are quite knowledgable that tends to lead to frustration with basic questions. Some of the people asking the questions may be so new they don't know how to ask or search.
first thing the new member of the community/forum may not have any idea what to ask about. So the search bar may be entirely useless and as I have found return so many useless results that it is itself useless. So many modders, so few qualified. So many mods, so few worth even opening the page to.
And of course Loram this is not meant as an attack. Only as a reminder that there are those that are new. It took me a good four weeks to realize you could even mod the game. Then another few weeks to find a decent mod (SPC). then about 4 times posting to realize all I had to do was search for the right question and wait patiently.
First things first unless I am mistaken you have to have the paid for version of the game. Then simply log into the game and you will get a prompt to update it to current version of the game. Keep in mind though that this mod is still in version 1.2.3 while the game is in 1.2.4.
this means the mod will not function with the current version. Have no fear though Simo is one of the most dedicated mod creators out there. I am sure he will have the mod up to date fairly soon. When you are thinking well when is fairly soon. Just remember that this mods is like having two functional mods that each have hundreds of available commands.
So anyway if you want to use the mod you will have to stick with game v 1.2.3 untill this is updated. Just make a bookmark of the first page post and check it daily. It will show up soon. As you may have gathered here most of this community has grown weary of the "when is it going to get updated?" question.
So rule of thumb be patient and don't update your game till the mod update has released.
ok i need to lay this out so i can get the best help possible
i have minecraft version 12.2
i want to get the single player command prompt mod please tell me exactly how to do it im freakin out because of my frustration i cant even find the download button for the mod lol,
i know im a noob. but if u know and have this mod please explain lol
I WANT TO SUCCESSFULLY DOWNLOAD THIS WITHIN THE HOUR SO I CAN GO TO BED IV'E BEEN UP ALL NIGHT TRYIN TO FIGURE IT OUT!! HELP
will simo release this mod for my version or do u think i should switch to v 1.2.3
2) A fun-ish mod is millenaire, but keep in mind it is buggy and rather exhaustive to uninstall. So use it at your own risk while knowing that you will have to remove all mods to remove that one mod. (Or I haven't found an easy way to remove individual mods anyway (feel free to chim in here if there is a way community))
3) Rei'sminimap is a great mod that helps you keep you bearing as well as some other basic funtionalities that make the game more appeasing... such as adding visible waypoints.
4) google around a bit for minecraft mods/modlists. things along those lines. I don't remember the exact wiki page but there is a page that lists nearly all the mods, a link to there page, and a short description of what the mod can do. you will know when you have found the page because it is a chart with listing on the left and appropriate info catagorized on the right. I believe it even has a listing in the chart that tells you if the particular mod is up to date.
5) not realy a mod so much as a skin tool. Look up painterly. It has been a while since I have been there as well. But it let you pick skins for all the differnet blocks in the game. you may like to use this because it will allow further customization to the look of your build. ( I gave up on this one only because when I was using it the game was updating every week, and I got tired of picking the same tiles over and over. I think they have a way to save your selection now though.
the mod is not yet updated to the recent 1.2.4. release. It will likely be a few days to a week before the mod is updated.
If you have already updated to 1.2.4. Then you will need to dig around for a bin download for version 1.2.3. Then take that bin file and replace the current bin folder with it. Of course as always online content not directly from its vendor has risks. The safer thing to do is wait.
I know I saw a page a long time ago that linked to the different version downloads. I don't remember if it was here on the forums a wiki or a private page though.
Derp sorry missed the small print at the bottom of your post. Yes stick with 1.2.3. You can continue your build or start your build with it. The changes in 1.2.4 don't look dramatic so I am sure your build will be compatible once the SPC for version 1.2.4 comes out.
i dont have the paid version of the game i just wanna be able to spawn stuff without having to find it in singleplayer so that's why im tryin to get this mod.
xlander is there a way i can message or chat directly cause i need help do u have a steam account or anything?
This is a link to the version history on wiki. Along the right side of the chart is a download colum. go down to 1.2.3 and download it if you need it to run SPC. then simply load the game and DON'T CLICK the update now button instead click the not now button and you will stay in version 1.2.3.
No sure don't i banned steam after they refused to give me access to my account and all few hundred dollars worth of software I had through them... that is what you get for early adoption.
In order to update you will have to buy the game I don't think you can update the free version at all.
Me gusta!!! I thought that I did something wrong, but its just that i'm 1.2.4 that makes me feel much better knowing i just have to wait a little bit until i get to use this mod (which looks pretty friggin awesome by the way)
Java does this automatically, it's not mojang or minecraft specifically, all java programs stored as jar files have this META-INF folder...
Because it causes less lags

Doesn't mean the author is going to release any faster.
The site says 1.2.3: http://mcp.ocean-labs.de/index.php/MCP_Releases#Releases
