I can't seem to get the /setspawn command to work, I've put in the correct code but it always sends me a little bit away from where I want it to be set
This is what I'm typing
/Setspawn 226 64 183
and it always sends me to 215 72 174, it changes everytime I try set spawn, never sets to where I actually want it to be set --__-- so frustrating
I'll share my /pos vs /setspawn observed anomalies.
A /pos of -345 53 107 translates to /setspawn -345 53 105
-345 x position - mostly correct, once in a while need to round up.
53 y position (height above bedrock - just increment or decrement to get the elevation you desire. All my houses are below water. 53 allows a wall height of 4 (including a ceiling) with 5 blocks of water above the ceiling.
107 z position is off by +2; a /pos -### ## 107 requires a /setspawn of -### ## 105.

I build my home where I initially spawn (almost always must excavate), if I get a world I don't care for, I create a new world, that way my compass always points the direction home. I keep a spreadsheet with my spawn coordinates just in case I should die; /setspawn and my compass are always in agreement.
You might find this world interesting (world seed -3464126429123494157). There is a mine shaft at ± /pos -132 34 831 that has one end in a stronghold.
My spawn point is -137 53 451. I suspect your initial spawn point will be the same (probably something other than "53").
I've located 23 Mob spawners (dungeons) so far.

how do you use the wand thing and spawn colored wool
Below your avatar (upper right) is a search function; Type in "cyan wool" (without the quotes) once you've found your answer, try it again with worldedit wand.
It works for almost any question you can imagine and you don't have to wait for an answer.

PS The wand is WorldEdit not SPC, where do you think you might find most answers?
A tip if you're using the Freecam command. You cannot move nor attack when this command is active, so you had best set yourself up in a safe place where mobs cannot get to you when you are exploring caves, mineshafts and strongholds.
I was using this command while in a mineshaft, and had been doing so for about a minute when I heard an explosion. When I came back, I had lost 5.5 hearts, and the area around me had been blasted. I didn't even hear the "ssss" - I was too far away. If I had not been wearing iron armor, that creeper would have killed me.
Is there a link to the old 3.1 version? I've got 3.1.1 installed, and it's giving me the problem with worldedit wherein the blocks I've selected aren't the block that are actually selected, but usually one block lower.
I'm guessing that this will get fixed eventually, but I'll just downgrade until then.
edit - nevermind, I was looking for "V3.1" when I should have been looking for "V3.1.0"
Google search can be like talking to an autistic kid some times.
Since I downloaded the mod I can't use Smart Move mod and whenever I F5 it crashes. Is there any way to fix this or am I going to be forced to remove the mod?
Whenever i break something or start to break something with a wooden axe it keeps ssaying "first position set to - then some coordinates..... how do i make this stop... what is it doing anyways?

Wooden Axe is the default tool for WorldEdit.
It sets coordinates and makes an imaginary box to edit the terrain within.

Give a man a fish, and he'll be fed for a day.
Give a man a puffer fish, and he'll be fed for the rest of his life.

An Lt that can't read imagine that!!! Use a stone axe. They last longer, don't trigger WorldEdit, and use a less valuable resource to craft.

If you want to get educated, just below your avatar (upper right) is a search window. Type worldedit wand. You might also try the WorldEdit Command List. Reading is FUNdamental. This trick works for almost any question you can muster!!!
I'm getting a weird error with SPC where, when I press the inventory key (Default 'E' for me), it goes to the screen that says 'Saving chunks' and just freezes there.
Can you find some way to fix this? I can provide info and anything else you need to fix this problem.

Why don't you start with that?
like a spawner that spawns spider-jockeys?
