Tell me if I am doing something wrong. I am opening Minecraft.jar and dropping GT.class in it and new KZ.png in to Art folder. No INI folder.
But I don't get all paintings, only from old spots.
K so when I try to use this my game crashes. If I load a file that has paintings it crashes and if I try to place one it crashes. Anyone got an idea what I'm doing wrong? Plz Help

Which edition are you using (extreme or insane), and had you been using Xau's HD patcher?
If the answers are "insane" and "yes", then I regret to inform you that as of now you cannot use both.
If one of your answers (or both) differ from the above ones, please post the error log; without it we might be incapable of providing any help.

Hey all I am VERY NEW started minecraft during the last release beta12 so i since i have some computer knowledge i was able to add some mods to my game

My issue is that first IDK how to correctly add images (does the picture resolution matter? all such things to make my own) so I decided to just download one from a posting on this thread. Well IO changed my KZ.png file and nothing happened I also added the class file so what i have noticed is this.
All the old pictures are still their and i cannot put up pictures from my new art pack (is it named wrong?) although the mod is working as i randomly get random colored art (which would be the extra art but it is not set)
In all can anyone help me?
I have some photo shop knowledge but i need to know how to make the images correctly? I would first like to get one of the previously posted art packs to work in the first place though. I know this is a noob question as it seams this is working for everyone just fine just IDK why i have the issue.

If the dimensions of kz.png are stored in there and are editable and if you can do all the stuff that hd patcher does to make minecraft support hd textures/paintings, then yes, you can.
But it'll probably be very hard if not impossible.
Oh, and hd patcher conflicts with more paintings, so you cant have both :sad.gif:
It'll crash even if you didn't make kz.png 1024x1024.
So if you really want more paintings, you'll have to redownload minecraft and install more paintings do not patch with hd patcher
And as of now hd paintings are not possible (yet) so i'm afraid that your 1024x1024 kz.png is incompatible.
What you can do if you really want hd paintings is redownload the kz.png insane version (or open your backup, if you have one) in photoshop and also open the 1024x1024 you made, and then you can:
Move some of the small (hd) paintings to the medium painting slots.
Move some of the medium (hd) paintings to the large painting slots.
Move some of the large (hd) to the XL painting slots.
You get the point.
The paintings will be twice as big in minecraft, but hey, better than not at all, right? :biggrin.gif:

Are you using a texture pack? If so you'll need to replace kz.png in the art folder of said pack.
ahh yes i am using a texture pack i will look into that now (it is starting to make sense why this is happening) Also when i make my own pictures do i just put whatever i want in the avalible spaces outlined in the template?
I want to use the ultimate pack and make MANY paintings

EDIT: Fixed! Disregard post, but leaving it in case anyone else can benefit from my post.
EDIT: Solution - After I patched, I moved the gt.class into the minecraft.jar and launched game, and it was working. So, I assume that the patcher replaces the gt.class file, and my putting it back manually after patching was the problem. Everything working fine now! Excellent mod(s)

Need some help trying to get the eXtreme version of this mod to work, if anyone would be kind enough to assist me.
My texture pack is a 32x32 pack, patched with the HD patcher.
Punch-A-Picture (my.class 1.3 version by Woot) is also installed in the main minecraft.jar file.
I downloaded the 1.3 version of the eXtreme class file ( gt.class ) and placed it in my minecraft.jar in the main folder with the other class files.
Because I am using a 32x32 texture pack, I placed the 512x512 kz.png file in the ART folder in my texture pack zip file. Then patched using the patcher, and I double checked to make sure the kz.png file is indeed IN the art folder in minecraft.jar, along with the class files.
I am testing placing pictures on a 6x6 wall, just to be certain all pics would fit. When I place pics, I -am- getting pics from the kz.png, and punch-a-picture is letting me cycle through the pics.
The problem is, I am not getting all the pics from the kz.png to show up. It seems that ONLY the pictures that are in the default (vanilla) locations are showing up in the rotation. I've tried placing pics according to the guide I read in the "placing pictures" thread, but no luck.
Hopefully I have described everything correctly, and any help to get this working would be greatly appreciated.

Never rename files, the instructions in the OP are from Beta 1.2 the current file for Beta 1.3 is gt.cass.

Hd patcher works fine with the Xtreme edition, however you can not use the Insane edition with the HD patcher.
You do have to manually resize your kz.png to the appropiate size depending on the size you used in the HD patcher .
