I have a question about the minimap mod: Would it at all be possible to make it show others in multiplayer?
If it is, that would be perfect! =P

so me and xie are going to team up, probably starting early next week. expect more realistic hunger - 21 days to starve, stamina, etc. also drinking, getting tired from running, so on, so forth, etc. we'll have this all on by default, but will use my guiapi to allow shutting parts off, changing times, etc.
in other news, I think mcpkg will have a gui by saturday - hopefully will release in early morning, test all day, likely release bugfix later in the day, at which point it should be ready to begin mainstream use. it still needs quite a bit of work, but it should be good enough for me to make the move of my mods into it.

I've been hearing this from a lot of people, but it still works for me, and nobody seems to be able to provide me with any kind of error; it apparently just "still goes down". huh?

What i miss on the minimap is an option to show the time of the day, and to show other players and/or mobs as dots on the map.
I have both of those as private mods, but will not be releasing them to the public as they qualify as cheat mods. if you PM me and can prove that you're admin on a server, I'll give you a copy.
can you make your ingame invedit say beta compatible:1.2_02 and show wool blocks and dyes.
plus the minimap ability to see mobs, not players since that might be a cheat, vice-versa or both.
also the minimap have an option to view caves that are explored, plus compatibility with sdk's mods or is that done?
hello dear sir, i thank you very much for this mod. If you are willing to listen to my suggestion i would be very happy if not, your still a really good person.
so this is my suggestion if you add the thirst mod could you make it so that when you are dehydrated you will start to see like this : and here are a few recipes for more medicin e:
[] []
= a new kind of medicin e
a cooked = new medicin e(that is done! just cook the flower now in minecraft!)
[] []
[] [] = new medicin e
I assume you will make a some kind of cup to drink when the thirst mod comes out, but if not here is a example,
[]
[] = cup (its wood because its easy to get it when your just starting the game)
[] []
[] cup [] = herb T(h)ea (heals thirst and wounds, the red flower can be replaced with the yellow one.
[] [] []
thank you so much for reading, i'll completely understand if you don't want to put any of these suggestions with your'e mod, so don't worry, again thank you.
If thats the case i actually think that the abillity to have waypoint´s is a cheat to
How is that a cheat? Anyone playing without any mods at all can see their coordinates, write them down in a notebook or something when they're at spots they want to come back to, and you have waypoints. All this mod does is make it a bit easier to do, it doesn't add anything that's not already available.
Being able to see players on the minimap would only be a cheat on servers with PVP=true, in my opinion. I don't see how displaying the time would be a cheat, either, but hey, it's not my mod so... :smile.gif:
I'm thinking I'm gonna use bowls for thirst. it doesn't make sense for the cup to take more wood than the bowl.
on the other hand this could be the cup recipe:
[] [] []
[] []
[] []
edit: wait, fail. that's the stick recipe :ohmy.gif: maybe use cobblies instead? a stone cup?
as far as the player/mob tracking and time of day: I suppose I could set up some kind of system where it won't work unless something is installed on the server. hell, if enough people like it, I could even set up something where unless there is a notice in the MOTD, the minimap won't turn on. I'll talk to some server admins, see what they think ...

first off thank you, Lahwran for reading my post.
and yeah i know it doesn't make sense to use more wood for a cup than a bowl but it was just a temporary tool to explain getting the tea (thank you GxY for the good spelling).
I like your'e new idea but maybe do this [] for the cup, the stick acts like a handle for the cup.
And what do you think of the dehydration form i suggested?
I didn't read super thoroughly as I'm working on mcpkg right now.

How can I enable the minimap mod on my server? Is it possible for everyone to see it?
at the moment, they just need to install it. there is no way (at the moment) for you to disable it so that it doesn't turn on.
I may make it so that there is, but it won't be that helpful, as those who want to can always just mod the mod so it doesn't check.
seems like a bit of a harsh thing to do. if enough server admins want it, I'll add it.

I know why some people can't use infinite stacks in the ingame invedit
They are using the one that sharose did, it looks like she didn't included infinite stacks and that is why it goes down, just download the one that lahwran did,

I mean I'm a server admin and I'd love that. The people who play on my server are not that technologically... adept. I'm afraid they'd screw something up beyond belief if they tried to mod their game.
everything is up to date.

The .png files also go directly into the minecraft.jar, just the same as the .class files.
At least that is what I do, and it always works =P
EDIT: Major spelling fail...
good job on figuring it out, I have to flame most people that make that mistake :tongue.gif:
just read earlier pages ...

Just put EVERYTHING in bin\minecraft.jar. That's how you install most mods.
