Is this mod compatable with extrabiomes xl for 1.4.6? Don't know too much about the majority of mods for minecraft but I'm curious whether or not the new mobs would spawn on the different blocks from extrabiomes assuming I installed everything correctly. Was testing it earlier and the insects seem to spawn just fine, same for the horses.
Need help getting this mod to operate. Currently I am using RedPower2, Steves Carts, Flan's Mod, NEI, REI minimap and Optifine. I have gotten the game to load correctly with GUI and Custom Mob Spawner but when I add Mo Creatures I get an error. And I use MultiMC to run minecraft.
SMP server bug: Whether "change vanilla spawns" and the other settings are on or not, player's tamet wolfs are constantly despawned. very annoying
also why does vanilla mobs not spawn right. You can set all vanilla mobs to 10 and all mo creaters to 0, but if you turn one mo creatures mob to even 1, that mob will spawn everywhere in huge packs and you will never see an vanilla mob. the custom spawner sucks tbh and really needs re writting more than the mobs. it wouldnt be so bad if it didnt spawn 4 scorpions or whatever for each 1 spawn point, there should be a "pack size" option
How to use IDResolver and Mo' Creatures ( GUIAPI.zip and GUIAPI.jar )
Was wanting Mo' Creatures ( which has its own gui api version ) and ID Resolver ( and all the new mods that use the coremods version ) to work together. It's actually rather simple.
1. Download GUIAPI.zip ( the one you get on the first page of this thread which is the zip )
2. Download GUIAPI from its official forum post ( which is the coremods version )
3. Extract the contents of the ZIP into minecraft.jar directly.
4. Extract the folder 'sharose' into minecraft.jar directly.
5. Reap the benefits of Mo' Creatures + All the mods that require the newer GUIapi coremods verion.
Also a side note in your options menu there are two "Global mod Options" buttons. The top one should contain the Mo' Creatures options, while the second all the other mods which require the coremods version of GuiAPI.
EDIT: Also i had a post a few pages back reporting black screen problem, it turned out to be IDResolver needed the coremods version.
EDIT-2: After some testing i noticed the options for the coremods and zip modsjumping between the buttons. But i don't consider it a problem as everything seems to work fine.
i changed a bit of code for a class(literally just deleted some path) and fixed the two buttons showing in the options menu.
i changed the guiapi.class for the sharose file from this(sharose/mods/guiapi/GuiApiButton)
to this (GuiApiButton) just open the guiapi.class from the sharose file with notepad and make the change
Two words. Multicolored Parrots! Okay maybe there are 3 to 4 words, but yeah! Imagine taming a white parrot with a pumpkin and it turning ORANGE! Or with seeds and it turning brown (or staying white depending on the seed color). Using an apple would turn it red and basic stuff like that! (no not that that coding is basic I mean the patterns per consumable given) I've wanted this since i saw that Jeb and Mojang haven't released only 1 bird... and it doesn't even FLY! So, i guess that's a good idea? I don't know...

Hey, look at 'dat! Boink! Woooo! Look at your head! HOME RUN!
does anyone know the conditions under which all of these passive animals spawn....do they simply need grass or light? Im having a problem with too many of them spawning around my base. Horses cows and pigs are running wild all over my mountain base. I realize I could alter their spawn rates but I feel the default spawn rates are great for the wild. I love seeing all those animals out there on my journey, I just dont want to see (and hear) them around my base as much. So I was hoping someone had the info on what conditions I could alter around my base to stop their spawn. If the mobs need grass I could redo the hill top in some sort of blast resistant block from IC2 or something or just wood for that matter. Anyway love the mod some of the best creature designs I've ever seen in minecraft and I believe he does it all in java. Thanks for all the hard work and thanks to those who helpfully watch this huge thread.
