Scratch this post, I'm an idiot lol I was in creative mode, when i switched back to survival mode the hearts were there. "Doh!"
Every update I have always tried to install this mod, to no avail. I tried everything, I exhausted all reserves. I rage quitted and punched my lap-top.
This update, however, worked. Albeit, there are a ton of bugs, but that'll hopefully get fixed in the near future (Please update me with a when, doctor!)
For those who are running Minecraft in Windows 7, (Vista as well), 32 bit, and have succesfully installed the mod and all mods are working, but STILL get game crashes when they load up the map, please try this:
Simply "Force Update" the game. You will not lose your game saves/texture packs. I run Misa's newest and I figured the Modloader was conflicting with the game, however, when trying to install for the second time on a different computer with the same issues, this was not the case.
If you are worried about your game being completely errased, I emplore you to copy your ENTIRE Minecraft.jar file somewhere safe, that way, you have a back up. No, your game client will not run from that destination, it will only run in Appdata/roaming.
After the forced update, I noticed that I could actually see the file META.INF , which was new to me. It only ever showed itself in the update files. Don't bother changing Minecraft1.4.jar, just do the Minecraft.jar, the rest are expansions I think and have no affect on the game itself. If you delete Minecraft.jar, you game will simply be stuck on the "Update" page and will never load. So don't do that. Go into the meta.Inf and delete the two items that say "MOJANG". After you copy all your files from the Forge into there, re-check the META.INF. It should only have one file in there, that does NOT have the MOJANG name in it.
I'm sure a programmer can tell me what exactly is going on. For now, I tested this on both computers with the same problem. I hope Dr. Zhark reads this and puts this on his page. It's such a simple fix.
Also, if you are running LAN, both computers must have Mo creatures installed.
Watch the video. You don't particularly need Win.Rar, just a program that cracks your encrypted files open. I would advise using winrar, though, because it is so user friendly. The set up is only hard if you don't follow EXACTLY what the person does, and if you are not computer friendly.

I have the same issue, i think its just a bug in this version because Dr Zhark was kind enough to release the version so quickly.
but besides the occasional multi-horses everything else works perfectly fine.

Wife and I love your mod, Doc! I am having one problem, however: The fur/hide armors cause all my armor to disappear. It seems to be whenever I wear any item of the armor, but putting on the helmet makes anything I'm wearing invisible, including held items. I reinstalled everything, thinking that it was a conflict error, but it doesn't appear to be.
The only mods I am running are: Mo'Creatures (including all requisets) and OptiFine. I was going to install a couple others, but I wanted to fix this first. Anything at all would help, as I love the variety (and Ostriches!) that it adds to Minecraft!
