I'm hoping DrZhark can answer this, but I'd appreciate any answer that someone here might have.
I've been messing around creating some HD textures for the animals in this mod, and I was wondering if this mod would register more than one texture for each mob. I know there are more than one texture for many of the animals already, and I can see in the MoCreature folder that some textures are labeled 'bunnya', 'bunnyb', or 'goat1', 'goat2', etc.
So what I'm wondering is if the spawns for the mobs with those textures are hard-coded into the mod itself, or if I could create a texture called, say, 'werewolf2' or 'werewolfb' and have the mod recognize those textures as well. It seems to me that the textures in this mod work differently than Randomob textures for actual texture packs.
The file paths and names for the images must be explicitly defined in the code, so you can replace existing images with your own, you cannot have it use another different file.

Hello I was wondering if there was ANY way besides downgrading minecraft and all to get my horses. My world is FILLED with them, some being lost and no were to be found. As far as i know when it comes to codeing the sky is usually the limit. So to rap it up is there any way to keep my horses. I really like my world and horses, also your mod to! and I cant use my good worlds now.

Unless you can go in and start coding the mod yourself, unfortunately no. There were simply too many changes to the core of Minecraft itself, especially the mob AI, to make it a simple fix to get just your horses back.
The best thing you can do is either stick with 1.1, or create a new world for 1.2 and live without horses for a little while
Still, an excellent job as always, Dr. Zhark. I think the new biomes and new mob AI open up the possibilities for so much! I am just pictures the Iron Golems fighting the ogres. Of course, I am curious as to what new things I will see in the next update. Undoubtedly a new Jungle mob is a must! Scorpions, spiders, and a bunch of the already established crawlies and snakes are certainly fitting, but for a new idea I was thinking tropical toucan-like or parrot type of birds. They would only differ from the existing in looks, so not much new in that sense. I am thinking of the possibility of a tree dwelling creature that climbs like a spider but is not a creepy crawler, perhaps a sloth or monkey? Let me know how it goes!

I absolutely love this mod! It gives so much more variety and thins to do in the game. And your list of animals just keeps getting bigger an all the more awesome!
I was also thinking since they just added the new jungle biome in 1.2, that possibly the mod could benefit from jungle like mobs? Here's a list of a few ideas if you feel like taking a look or have artist's block. You don't have to if you don't wanna though, you've already added my favorites into the mod.
Gorrilla-
Neutral mob, will attack if provoked. Spawn in small groups of 2 to 4 and only in jungle biomes.
Baboon-
Neutral mob, whole pack will attack if provoked. (like wolves do). Can spawn from 1 to 5 in jungle or savanna biomes.
Monkey-
Passive mob, will usually run from player. Spawn in jungle biomes and in decent sized packs of 4 to 7.
Possible that all three are able to climb vines or ladders? Or possibly the same sort of climbing behavior as spiders?
These ones below are just some other animals that would be an interesting mix into the mod. Though I do realize you have your hands full as it is.
Hyenas-
Possibly same ai as your wolves, but spawn near jungle biomes or big cats.
Hawks/Eagles/Falcons (i.e. birds of prey)-
Tameable? Hunter creature, targets rabbits, snakes, mice, or rats.

Agressive. spawn in caves or at night.
This last one might be a bit of a long shot, but I figured I'd ask anyways. << Considering that I am such a fox obsessive fellow, maybe the possibility of different foxes in different biomes? << like artics in the tundra, and fennecs in the desert? eh... I'm asking too much. ._.
I would just give up on seeing this amazing work of digital art ever going SMP. Blood is nowhere to be seen, and Jsn_Man was having problems getting it done months and months ago, and has seemingly given up on it entirely. And now that there has been an update which has made some significant changes, I would expect to never see SMP Mo'creatures until a propper modding API is released by Mojang...
I just want to say. Dr Zhark, you have been one of the best modders with not only continually adding new content but also with keeping it updated within reasonable periods of time. Your mod is a must have for many a Minecrafter's mod list, and adds so much quality content, it's not a surprise.

Wish it was easier to obtain the Mo Creatures mod since it has been about a month of having 3 of the 5 files required but Mediafire.com is very odd and is not very comprehensive in where to go to obtain the custom mod spawner or the mod itself. So just wondering how a person would be able to get those two files if they are not able to navigate www.mediafire.com
