The problem with the new spawning method since 1.8 is that minecraft no longer despawns the vanilla creatures that are far away from the player at all. Before, minecraft used to keep about 100 entities at once. Since 1.8 there are about 350 slowing down the game. The other problem is that keeping that many vanilla mobs takes up the space for my custom mobs. So i had to reactivate the despawning of vanilla mobs.
if there is a way to do this without having animals in farms despawn that would be ok. also make sure you allow them to spawn like they did before as well. otherwise we will be in a world with no animals :ohmy.gif:
I love your mod Dr. Z. These are amazing custom mods and I think they deserve their own custom drops that each have original purposes. Like turtles could drop shells & skin which you could make turtle soup with or something. That would make this mod much more exciting & fun :smile.gif:
Hi i have a small idea for improvement of this creature mod.
Perhaps it is possible to make a small SDK with JAVA like SkinEdit to create a creature and then we need only to upload it to mod coder and they prove if it ok and easy implement it.
A.e. all in a online database so where mod user can then when they install their mod on their client simple with a options menu enable the creatures which they want.
so what you need is a creature sdk java for the user, a api for the mod a gui and a installer.
I think this will rise the number of creatures enourmously.
And by the way it is possible to create a webshop then on the online database where special creatures can be buyed etc etc.
