I searched this thread but couldn't find the answer I am looking for....
Is there a way to reduce the spawn rates? when I walk outside in the morning there is a fricking' orgy or animals outside. I like the extra creatures but walking outside and seeing 5 lions, 2 bears, a bunch of birds, squirrels, foxes wolves etc is a bit much. Thanks.

hello, i donloaded the pack using tfc mod manager thing and i see a horse, i go to make a saddle, but it dosnt work, it appears as nothing, im doing it right and all but the saddle just wont show up! plz help
Horse saddles wont work, when i try to make one nothing happens. I know i have the mod installed becuz the are ogres, lions, horses, etc but the saddles wont work. could you respond plz?
Yeah. No squirrels yet. But you knew that didn't you? Can anyone answer my question?
Well I have to ask you are you planning on taming and/or breeding horses? I have 7 tamed horses, 2 tamed turtles (another mod,) 6 tamed birds, 3 tamed cows (DrZhark's farmcraft,) and a tamed cat (another mod) all inside the outer walls of my compound/base/house area and that REALLY cuts down on the number of friendly mods that spawn near my house. I do get monster spawns at night but those are on a different spawning/counting system. The long and short of it is only so many friendly mobs and monsters can spawn in a given area or chunk. The more the game has that doesn't despawn (like horses) the less that will spawn in that given chunk. This is not to say that I don't take a boat ride across the ocean to another chunk and continue my search for a Pegasus. :smile.gif:
Is there any way you can make it possible to have this mod and MineColony mod? Because both are AMAZING mods, but if I use one I can't use the other :sad.gif:
I have the mod installed correctly been using it for awhile now, before the new update i could make saddles
Can't now. and i would appreciate it because my first ever Pegasus spawned right by my house and ive tamed it but im afraid it might fly away or wander off >.>
How can I install the MOD on my multiplayer server?
No. It doesn't work for multiplayer.
PS: The word 'mod' isn't an acronym.
I think I read somewhere that Notch is going to eventually merge the SSP and the SMP versions together or make them more integrated which means this mod may eventually be SMP friendly if the dev decides to keep it going.
Hello, I have installed this mod, and want to tame a horse.
I found a unicorn, put the saddle on, and fed it 3 bread. Then I hopped on, and it threw me off, then I continued to feed it 3 more, and the same thing happened. After that, I hacked my inventory and gave myself 50 pieces of bread, and fed it to the unicorn. No dice.
You'd think 56 pieces of bread would be enough to tame it.

What should I do?
If I hear this complaint one more time, I am going to tell DrZhark to explain it in the OP. Horses do not let you ride them just because you fed them and threw a piece of heavy leather on their back! It's more realistic than that. Have you ever tried to break a horse in real life? Having something on their back is a new concept to them. It takes time for them to get used to it, and a lot of tries before you can get them to let you control them!

You have to keep trying to ride it until it does not throw you. The rarer the horse the more times it may "kick" you. I have been thrown from a unicorn up to 7 times before it did not through me. Also I have been kicked by a Pegasus only once. It is totally random, but usually harder with the more rare horses. Keep getting on until you stay on...
Hope this helps.

Oh I have a question. Will the mod creator possibly ever add a craft-able golden arrow? Would be an added bonus for fighting werewolves. Just curious.

It's already in there:
-Quick guide on how to tame horses:
The faster/rarer the horse, the harder to tame. This is what they require to be as docile as possible before you mount them. Even after making them happy, you will have to break/ride them until they accept you.
People just don't read.
I must have read it, cuz I knew somehow. If somebody else asks, I will ignore them until they get it in their heads to actually search for the answer >:ohmy.gif:
I downloaded everything correctly, but when i play, all the mobs are there, yes. All sounds are working, yes. But it does not show my health, inventory, pause menu, or any options. All the less, it works.
Whenever I use this mod I get massive lag. All the creatures work fine but the game constantly lags and freezes.
Oh, and to all the people wondering about saddles, I think that in order to craft saddles you have to have started your world with the mod enabled. I had the same problem, restarted a world with the mod, and the problem was solved.

you mean like an INVedit right? Probably not, if you're wanting to get rarer horses your going to have to do it the old fashioned way :biggrin.gif:
