So... the Extrabiome support is definitely not working. Myself and ScottKillen worked asynchronously on the changes, but I didn't have the time to test it. We're currently looking into this, for now the mods won't work together. I'll try to fix this as soon as possible and will post an update when ready.
Everyone, I just wanted to confirm that Dr. Zhark and I are both looking into the issue between our mods. I think we have narrowed down the problem. Dr. Zhark is now determining the best solution.
I know Dr. Z appreciates your patience and I would like to lead the cheer for a wonderful new release!
As you can see DrZhark knows there are some teething bugs for the latest updates and is working to fix them for us.
Please read at least a page or 2 before posting problems as its probably already been found and posted.
I am uploading a new version of the "How to Install" Video at the moment, please be patient it shouldnt be too long.
Once its finished I will post it here and DrZhark will put it in the OP.
This is a mammoth mod, so finding the cause of these little bugs can take a while, please keep the faith and be polite when asking for things. Thanks,
K, I'm hunting for the texture shifting horse and earless donkey bug, bit I can't reproduce it.
Can people with the bug give me as many details as possible?
Is it tamed horses that switch the skin? do they have saddles or armor?
are magical horses affected or just regular breeds?
did you spawn the horses or did you find them in the wild?
what biome are you on?
were the horses already tamed before you updated to this version of the mod or is the bug happening in newly tamed horses?
is there anybody who is not getting the bug? i.e. everything working normally?
edit: nevermind, I found the bug: it only happens in the plains biome and I'm fixing it as we speak
Yes. I'm in a Plains Biome, however, I did cheat the horses in (using amulets). It doesn't seem to happen with magical horses.
Okay, so I installed the mod quite early on this morning and have been playing it for through out most of the day. I too am having the same problem with the changing horse skins. However, only three of the horses that I've tamed have changed skins. These horses only switch between horse skins. On the other hand, there are horses running around that have zebra skins. For those of you having the same problem, the easy way to tell if it is a horse or not is, if it doesn't run away, it's a horse, and if it makes the horse noise, it's a horse. However, I've only played on peaceful, and it seems that the zebra doesn't run away on peaceful/creative, so I've had to depend on the noise it's made. I tamed a zebra-skin horse, and when I logged off then came back in, it had a horse skin.
Now, I've seen the Donkey without the ears, but I haven't tried taming that.
But still happy though So far I have many bays, browns, black, and whites, as well as a dapple gray, one of those gray patched ones, one of those creamy colored patched ones, a skeleton horse, a ghost horse, two donkeys , and a mule. I'm a happy trooper. On my way to getting an appaloosa and then a zebra, and then rare horses awayyyy
EDIT: Well that explain a lot. I've only played on the Plains biome so far.
OK then, thanks. Its my families computer, not my personal one, so ill have to get permission to clean it up. They probably will want to take it into our local computer place and pay 50 dollars for that.. .XD I wasnt sure if it was a known glitch caused by Mo Creatures, so thats pretty much why i asked. Thanks again!
Adkkid
Yeah I suppose they would want it to be done by someone qualified to mess with it
but paying 50 money to just get the thing opened up a few parts removed dusted then put back and closed is a bit excessive
and this will only help if it was an overheat (and not one caused by a fan ceasing to work, but that's rarer than dust causing them and you notice it happening) that said it is likely it was a video card or cpu overheat since minecraft makes them put off more heat from the processing than human revolution does and dust builds up in computers rather easily
Are you getting a horse at all?Is one parent a tamed zebra and the other a tamed horse? @JacksiXD By breeding horses. Refer to the chart for info on what to breed to get what horse.
yes i am getting a horse but it is just a normal horse

thanks DrZhark i have been a fan of your mod since beta 1.6.6
I haven't been able to find the menu/file that has the spawn limits. Is there even such a menu? Nobody has answered my question so far, but I'm hoping you will. c:

Since the nether ostrich's texture wasn't working properly, I tried to reskin it to the proper texture using Single Player Commands. The texture still doesn't work properly.

TerraBad the worst the world has to offer.
just combine the other three essences, it is on the readme file
1. Will there be a patch soon that fixes the horse texture problem
2. Are zombies supposed to be able to ride horses
yes i am getting a horse but it is just a normal horse
thanks DrZhark i have been a fan of your mod since beta 1.6.6
1. yes, upcoming
2. yes, don't you think it's cool? wait until you see a skeleton or zombie riding a bathorse

Make sure to install GuiAPI properly.
THANKS! Problem solved.
1. I was breeding a zebra and a horse, and then the zebra turned into a horse after they bred
2. the zebra and the horse did NOT breed a zorse
I have the same problem
AND 3. i went up to a zebra while riding another zebra and it ran away
