Tornadoes aren't common, even in single player. If you want, use single player commands' /weather thunder to start a storm, which may or may not spawn a tornado.

@Corode12 Strange...... I think I'm gonna have to give Zombie Awareness some thurough debugging, I've gotten 2 reports of it not working in multiplayer at all, and then theres this.... Something odd must be going on.

i can never seem to get the premium maps to work for zombie craft, i put the maps where they have to go aswell, what do i need to do? (the normal maps work)

I know your talking about smp, but I wanted to say that ssp also may not have tornadoes (often). Have you checked your inventory to make sure you can craft and place sirens and sensors, that way you can tell if you installed the mod correctly. If so, then you just need to either spawn a thunderstorm yourself or make the rarity of storm increase smaller.
If all else fails, instead of making a dedicated server, just use the "Open to LAN" function with a VPN like Hamachi or Tunngle. (I use Tunngle) I know for sure that tornadoes naturally spawn in LAN rooms.

There should be no problem using LAN, why because it is an actual server, just controlled by your minecraft client. Try it.

When Zombiecraft first entered 2.0 stage, something new was added. This something is a check. This check deals with maps other than Nacht and Last Resort. In 2.0, paid maps were first introduced. What this check did was go to a site to see if a user has paid for a map and if it's ok to run it. If the map name was found and the user did buy the map, then it would load the map. If a user did not buy the map or the map was not recognized, then a "You need to buy this map!" screen came up. This also meant that custom maps did the same thing. When Zombiecraft was shut down, Corosus revived it and changed the website to always say "yes" to loading a map. Around the time when Zombiecraft 3 was put into development, the site was shut down. So Zombiecraft is looking for the ok to run the map, but can't find it because the site doesn't exist any more to give it the ok or not. So without any kind of information being given to Zombiecraft, it decides to just not do anything.

do the normal 2 free maps not go through the website thingy? if not, why not just delete that feature till there is a plan to do something with it? idk, im not a good modder lol
Ya I noticed yesterday finally that I can't play any of the premium maps, looks like it silently crashes on connect attempt, It was a long time ago but I was pretty sure I had removed that connect attempt and just let it run the map, but looks like something happened to my fix, not sure when it happened though. I'll try to have that fixed relatively soon, it's a bit of a process to remember how to compile an update for that oooooold ZC Classic codebase.
ZC 3.0 Beta:
I just updated Last Resort to ZC 3.0, short of missing betties, comrades, rocket launcher (I think there was one?), It's running great! I've definitely fixed enough bugs for now to consider a beta release of it within the next few days, either official posting or just a link here to get some feedback from you guys, preferably multiplayer testing feedback.
New since last progress post:
- New singleplayer focused click and play features, playing or starting edit mode for a map is now as easy as loading a world save, multiplayer 'streamlined setup process' is still a work in progress, with planned lobby support of some kind for coordinating a game session with your friends.
- Maps can be read from the ZCMaps folder as a folder, a zip file, or schematic file, for now only schematic files will actually load but soon the others will too.
- ZC games working great in the new ZombieCraft dimension, this is where it will auto generate the map now when singleplayer, It's a flat world for easy building.
- Many AI fixes, Zombies will keep up with you fairly well throughout every level.
- Zombie kill timeout, if a zombie gets lost somehow because of unforseen map design issues, they will die after 10 minutes.
- Consistantly played ZombieCraft music now plays whenever you are in the ZombieCraft dimension instead of the randomly timed vanilla music.
- Item buying placement redone, allows all 8 slots for use (should I keep it this way?)
- All perk items in and placeable for editing, speed cola, charge, and exstatic only work for now
- Added charge perk keybind, default left control key
- Some small texture fixes.
- ZC Maps support a ground offset for generating, so if your map has underground areas, it starts generating from underground and not at surface level up.
