Weather Mod for MC 1.3.2 SMP Forge progress so far:
- Tornadoes are about 90% ready, mostly synced, moving blocks working but about 60% of them are getting stuck and making dirt caves where the crevice is formed, strange considering the code is essentially the same. Natural spawning not checked but shouldnt be much issue
- Wind / Weather system still needs a little syncing system setup to keep the clients all at the proper wind levels for client side particle creation.
- Tornado Siren and Sensor working
^ Above tested on client hosted with another client connecting, splitting up code for proper dedicated server hosting will take a little additional time.
Don't exactly have an estimation when, but I've been working on it fairly consistantly the past week, and from the list of completed parts it shouldn't take much longer, in theory.
@Fred30w you bring up an interesting problem I overlooked, I think before I had tornadoes avoiding huge mountains, I had a safety kill on the tornadoes if they found themselves in a solid object that is unrippable, thats why it does that, I think I shall remove that feature entirely so they will just keep plowing through your city, unless it encounters a thick wall of smoothstone, then it may alter course. Edit: errr, actualy it must be thinking the top of your mansion is solid ground and the y offset was too great, but the feature is disabled now in my 1.3.2 code and I'll see how it goes.

@WolfSpider95 Ah yes I never quite fixed that in weather release, in addition to thunder continuing after sleeping, however I think I fixed it in tropicraft so I'll have to move that code over, thanks for the reminder
I love zombiecraft! But i do have some requests:
Zombiecraft: More ammo or different guns, when i buy a trench gun, it has barely any ammo and does little damage, when i buy a machinegun, it leechs ammo almost instantly, when i buy a lamethrower, the ammo runs out in 2 seconds of holding right click, and only kills about 1-2 zombies.
Particle man: Going up to an ender man and right clicking near him will drain his particles, after 2 seconds, he starts taking damage and retaliates, with the enderman particles you can double tap jump, and you will fly around with them floating at your feet, and anything that gets into the radious of it gets teh weakness debuff.

Stop treating mod devs poorly. These people mod as a hobby or as a service to the community, they don't have to take your suggestion and you are not entitled to anything from them.
Just curious... if I want to temporarily disable the tornados and other terrain-destroying features in this mod, is it possible to do so without uninstalling? and i can't wait for the update! everything looks to be coming along smoothly (even the waves!)
In the config file change the line: Storm_Tornado_maxActive=1 to Storm_Tornado_maxActive=0

Hey corusus, really love the mod, but there's one problem, ever since 1.2.5, i was uploading to YouTube on a series. But when 1.3.2 came out, i waited weeks, have you stopped development or are you working on it?

both of the mirrors still arent working for me, both say file not found, please fix, i really want this mod, the older versions crash my minecraft every time no matter what i do
Everything appears to be in working order for Weather & Tornadoes, short of configs, some polish, and a few issues due to the design of MC SMP. My features for Tropicraft are also just about good to go minus trading, both will be getting new features as well:
Weather Mod:
- Waves that you can see and surf in (minmal performance loss), intensity of the waves tied to the wind speed and storm stage, configurable range of wave rendering
- A simple but modified boat tweaked for smooth wave surfing
Tropicraft Koa:
- Koa chest for maintaining existing village population, respawns villagers
- Trading redesign, new villager merchant with shop instead of every koa able to trade (work in progress)

how often do the tornadoes spawn, in the game, cause i can't seem to craft the siren, or the sensor, or even the tornado gun for that matter

Yes, the problem is though this mod isn't updated to 1.3.2 yet, Coros is currently working on the update.
