mod loader gives me blackscreen
and i am not doing anything wrong.
(i moded allot)
I highlighted the problem. Have you tried modloader by itself with nothing else added to the minecraft.jar file? If you're getting a black screen, then either A.) yes, you did something wrong, or B.) one or more of your mods isn't updated to work with the latest modloader, etc. In other words, modloader works just fine for the rest of us.
I'm running Win7 x64 and the Java console gives me an error aboput access denied on Modloader file in Minecraft.jar.
I'm not sure how significant this is, but in the spirit of troubleshooting is your user account in Win7 part of the administrator group? If not, are you at least running the minecraft.exe file with admin privs (ie: as administrator) and Java environment loaded automatically under a system/admin account?
Excuse my bitching, I was just putting in the files wrong. You were right, AudioMod works. ^_^'
What way were you doing it? I can't seem to make AudioMod work with Mo'Creatures, and am wondering if I am screwing up the same way you were.
To clarify, I am getting regular sounds i.e. walking, bow firing, other combat sounds, but the monster sounds that should be related to Mo Creatures seem to be not working.
though instead of fiddling with Audiomod, I may check out Mo creatures and see if I missed pulling over some files....

Apparently it helps to have the right version of Mo Creatures.... Problem solved!
Running this in the browser, can try running the standalone executable. The Javaw.exe file is run as Administrator, and the user account is an administrator as much as Win7 lets you be a real Administrator. This machine is in a Corporate Domain so cannot turn UAC completely off.
Running mods with browser-based version? Um, I think you're confused or doing something really broken.
As for "real Administrator", look again. You can run as THE Administrator in Windows 7 if you want: just enable the Administrator user (disabled by default) from Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. Otherwise, add your current user account to the Administrators group itself. And if you're on a corporate domain with limited privs, that's probably the EXACT reason why this isn't working. They probably locked down accounts to least privs.
THe arrow pack is awesome, especially those exploding arrows. I've got one thing to say to those f***ing creepers: [draws back bowstring] [Arnold accent] "Hasta la vista, baby" [lets arrow fly]
Ok I have Minecraft Beta 1.2_01 I'm using Maxi Stack 1.32 and the latest ModLoader. I put all the Modloader files into the minecraft.jar and then I put all the Maxi Stack files into the same file and all I get is the Black Screen. I'm trying to get this to work on my own local SMP server. Any help would be very much appreciated Thank Yo.
I did only install the modloader at one time. And when I do that, it gives me a blackscreen -> So I can rule out B. For now. And actually I by myself can rule out A too <.< - I just can't believe I'm doing something wrong.
Now here's what I do when I install the Modloader and get a blackscreen: (From the very beginning I will make a list as of me doing it the same time so I'll get everything right. And actually I'm just going to do it like I did before, probably without any succes.)
0) Make a backup. Of my whole .minecraft - Especially /saves
1) At first I download the file.
1.1) I unrar the file - Tried with and without unpacking it before, however, neither works for me. for this try I'll stick with not doing it. I actually believe it's how you should do it -> "rather rough instructions"
2) Then go to fresh .minecraft [which I put in my favs to get to it fast :>] which currently is brand-new because I just deleted my whole .minecraft before to have it clean. Enter /bin and open the minecraft.jar with my WinRAR Archiver.
3) Now I just drag and drop the files from my downloaded .rar(from the other open window, also a WinRAR) into the minecraft.jar root directory.
4) Then I delete the pesky META-INF folder by using the delete key on my keyboard.
5) After that still managable process I start my Minecraft.exe, which is located on my Desktop and which I never updated(that you don't have to... cuz it's just a launcher._.), with rightclick->adminthingy (just to be safe...) and I log in... wait a minute to see it didn't connect -> restart with adminthingy ->
aaaaaand... it connects and I GET A ****ING BLACKSCREEN. Goddamn.
Now I did everything while I wrote and... you see, I didn't forget anything. Now tell me something that I don't know already.
Btw I have Windows 7 professional, use that WinRAR Archiver, and... want that DARN modloader for Minecraft Beta 1.2_01 :<
Yeah same problem for me, but then on OSX....Did al those steps multiple times but still a black screen as soon as I add the modloader files.
Uh, problem with the spawn gui, I have no idea if this has anything to do with my computer, but whenever i right click on a monster spawner to change it's contents, the game crashes. Any wise words of wisdom that somebody could give me? unless the gui hasn't been updated for current minecraft yet...
By the way, i'm no stranger to mod installing. I deleted the meta-inf folder, and copied all of the contents into the .jar.

until you realize only ONE of these can be true at the same time no one can help you. I suggest you take back the 2nd thing you said.
Both can be correct if the problem lies with his computer. eg, Java needs updating. Simply spamming "YOU ARE LYING" does not get anyone anywhere.
If he hasnt updated java he fails at "not doing anything wrong".

These mods will not work on SMP.

I don't want to install a mod to discover it hasn't been updated.
