i have installed alot of mods in minecraft, also modloader for almost any update. but this is the first time i install modloader and my game crashes. are you sure it works for 1.7.3 and has no conflict with mods that dont use it?
As far as I know, AudioMod isn't compatible yet. Could you update it soon?

Ok, forgot it, I didn't know ModLoader now loads zip files from the mods folder. Obviously, where I store all my mods, up to date and obsoletes. Therefore it was trying to load the 1.6.7 build of the Airship Mod. I changed the name of my folder, everything runs fine now.
This is awesome! Mine was having the same problem and I moved all the files out of the mods folder and now it works! Thank you so much for this simple fix.

Do what these people did. Remove any zip files that may be inside your .minecraft/mods folder. I removed one of my old Mo Creature's zips, and after I did, it worked perfectly.
Guys, I am very sorry for asking, I feel that I am missing something simple here but I cannot find it! I have just installed elemental arrows mod + the mod loader (I read everything, and did as u said) but it does not work! I launch the game start crafting an arrow and put the gunpowder on the top - nothing! Coal - nothing again! I added all the files from the mod and mod loader into Minecraft.jar in the .minecraft folder. I have even added them to minecraft-1.7.2.jar and minecraft-1.7.3.jar but it does not work! Please help me. I even thought that I have forgotten the recipe (Notch forgive me) and put the flit on the top and I received normal arrows, but other recipes does not work!
When I install ModLoader and destroy blocks it won't give them back to me.
I'm having the same issues here. I've installed only modloader both manually and through the mcpatcher and get this same result. Please locate and fix issue asap.
Can anyone help me? when i install Modloader and then try to start up minecraft, the game will start for about .5 seconds before going back to "saving chunks" and then crashing. any ideas? At first i thought it was 'Better than wolves' but then after only installing modloader it still occured :dry.gif:
I only installed the modloader and that mod "The Art of Painting" made by ABP. I did everything I was supposed to (I think, the art of painting had minimal instructions). So anyway, I put in the files, Blah, blah, blah, etc., etc., etc., And I tried to run minecraft. After I clicked "Login" I got a black screen for about 15 seconds, then it crashes. BUT the crash screen lasts about a second so all I have time to read is, "Micraft has Crashed! This may have been because".
Literally. NOTE: I DID DELETE THE META-INF FOLDER. Help and I'll give you diamonds
I have no idea where to go on this. I have tried everything to get this to work. Here is my most recent error log and steps of my attempt. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
1) Deleted EVERYTHING from my .minecraft folder and redownloaded everything vanilla.
2) Unzipped modloader 1.7.3 with 7z into it's own folder.
3) Browsed to the minecraft.jar, opened it with 7z and dragged and dropped the entire contents of the modloader into the minecraft.jar overwriting all files requested.
4) Deleted meta-inf folder
5 Ran minecraft and crashed out to the error logged below.

im having trouble installing modloader, i correctly followed the instructions, deleting metainf and putting them in the .jar, but i still get a black screen, i havent installed any other mods
I used the modloader till the 1.7 update. When i tried opening up minecraft, i got a black screen, and i know i deleted meta-inf and i am using the right version. I also know i installed it right because it is just mod loader. I could not get the crash report because when i went to get it, minecraft exited automatically. Plz help.

I have the same problem. It gets to be a pain when mining resources.
