I followed the instructions perfectly. Opened the jar, dragged in the files, deleted Meta-Inf, ran the exe for the software.
And boom:

And its rather frustrating because in the old version, this never happened. I never had this problem before last update and its rather frustrating that the only 'solution' in the original post is a cloying "You are doing it wrong hurr" thing. I am doing nothing different than what I did before and it is not working. And it worked before.
The instructions to install this are pretty damn simple and I can't imagine how or why it's suddenly not working with this fresh jar file.
I recently finished a very complex texture pack that includes wildgrass I designed and I've been dying to see it and use the new "waving grass" mod for GlSl shaders. But now that dream is in the toilet. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother.
If anyone has a solution or a troubleshoot that isn't "ur doin it wrong" it'd be very much appreciated. Like I said, the old version of this worked. And now it doesn't. I find it really hard to believe it's something on my end.
Thanks in advance.
and yes all my java is up to date.
and yes i tried it with both versions of the zip.

ur doin it wro... J/K!!!
That "invalid entry size" seems to indicate an archive decompression error. fwiw, it happens every once in a while.
Simply re-install the mod! Again, fwiw, I always completely extract all archive files into a temp folder before moving them the the (still compressed) .jar file
-Hope this helps!

HMMM
This is a good theory actually.
See lately, I have been using Powerarchiver as opposed to winzip or 7zip or winrar (i just like it more). It has alot more fancy ways to compress files than most other software I've piddled with when it comes to zipping.
Perhaps something in the compression.
Well, then I suppose does anyone know what sort of basic compression winrar/7zip use? Just so I don't need to try all 10+ .zip compression methods in powerarchiver. I just can't go back to rar. Thems was dark times.
can u possible send me a "mirror download" that instantly starts download just by clikcing because mediafire and dropbox is blocked on my computer.......plz and thank u!

Well I did that and this works even worse now.
Like before it at least logged me in before crashing. Now I just get a black screen immediately upon the program trying to log me in.
Well I give up. This game is too unstable without mods for me to waste any more hours trying to hack it.
I installed the mods and it won't let me grab the mod's exclusive items from the crafting box. It will let me craft them, but I can't get the resulting item from the results box. Any help here?
Make sure (especially if you are doing a fresh reinstall, ie you deleted your bin folder) that you are deleting the META-INF folder out of the minecraft.jar or no mod will work. It's real easy to forget to do this.

Wildgrass and modloader both use bw.class and every time I try to install any version of modloader, my grass goes transparent. Outside my front door I can see all the caves and lava through my lawn.
This is not stopping conflicts. Do I have an option other than choosing modloader or wildgrass, one or the other, not both, to have installed?
EDIT: saw the post top of this page advising reinstalling the mod, at least visually, reinstalling wildgrass on top of modloader and everything looks ok...which makes me wonder what part of modloader I've no disabled by overwriting bw.class
I just recently installed the portal gun mod, and updated to the v5 modloader. I've got audio mod, and before i updated, everything was fine. Now evertime I open a world, I get a black screen and it crashes. ANy ideas on whats happening?
Read the entire post. I dare you.

EDIT: Yes, this is every item in the game (with some items from mods) and no, it is not legit!

Hope that helps some people.

Would help if I even knew what bw.class does.
