Another link you should click is "Dropbox Index", which is directly above all of the mods. That has more old versions to use.

Perhaps you could make the gate block not appear until after the control block is placed and opened. The face opposite whatever you right click to open the control block menu gains the gate block. I'm not sure if that's possible, though (I don't know much about programming yet, I'm just learning the basics at the moment).
This thread has been locked due to inactivity. The forums considers a mod to be dead when the author seems to have abandoned the project, and the project is three major versions behind the latest Minecraft version.
I am using magic launcher. I even did a manual install through minecraft.jar, it magically stopped working when it worked a year ago.
Edit: I Got a preinstalled bin & resources folder of aether 1 v1.02, used the old launcher and works fine

Curse PremiumHey, there's a mod called "Intermediary" that allows the user to use 1.2.5 Forge mods in 1.7.10. It's also compatible with some 1.2.5 ModLoader mods!
