I just pray that the official Mojang API/plug-in loader cleans up this whole mess, so Risugami can get out of this hole and be done with the mess of maintaining ModLoader. This kind of BS just isn't worth it. It is a small wonder that Risugami seldom responds on this thread with the kind of vitrol that tends to happen here.
I hope that too !
Some Mods need Modloader other needs Forge and another run with another Tools.
There are many cool Mods for more Gamefun or make the Gaming a little bit comfortable.
At the Moment there is only the Choice of running some Mods you like and renounce other Mods.
By The Looks Of It It Would Be Because of Minecolony, The most recent Release of Minecolony Is RC19 For Minecraft Version 1.2.5 . Not 1.3.2.
Thx for helping. What happen is that I download minecolony long ago and when the minecraft 1.3.1 update came I thought that it would be deleted when I force update but it isn't
I don't know if this is because I'm using MagicLauncher, but in the Elemental Arrows mod, it's only firing/working in Creative mode. I'm not sure if this has already been addressed or not. Just letting you know! ^-^
First off, THANKS to Risugami for his mods and all the work he does on them! Let's all make a small donation, especially if you use more than 1 mod. Money's tight but I can still buy Risugami a cup of good coffee.
Been reading all the posts and noted several things people used to correct issues and problems with the various mods. While I had been following his loading instructions, I didn't read all of the FAQ, shame on me. I just turned 50 so I blame it on an early senior moment. Hopefully, I will get everything loaded and up and running correctly today. ROFLMAO!
Thanks to all who replied with helpful suggestions.
And do try not to repost the same question over and over since it swamps the email box and annoys Risugami. Or at least give people enough information after reading the FAQ so people can see what's wrong.
One item I am not clear on as there seem to be differences of opinion - use MCPatcher or not?
I will try that and see what happens, thanks. Rei's minimap mod works fine in 1.3.2 but I've had no success with any other 1.3.2 mods. If that doesn't work, I guess I will load the 1.3.1 mods and see what happens then.

I happen to have a laptop that uses Windows, and my main tool for installing mods is simply Windows Explorer (really Internet Explorer, but it is the file manager for Windows). I'll admit it does require some technical expertise in terms of understanding how computers work, but the price is right (included with the default operating system... I don't even need to download additional software) and I find I can install most mods as fast as I could with a 3rd party application that you need to configure anyway.
One key to remember is that a "jar" file is really just a "zip" file under another name. On Linux and Windows, if you rename the file extension you can work with a jar file by renaming it to zip and then rename it back before you use it. The file managers on both operating systems will natively allow you to access files contained in a zip archive. That is how I put new classes into the "minecraft.jar" file.
On the other hand, some of these other programs like MCPatcher are kind of nice because you don't need to remember to change the file names back and also do the searching for the Minecraft files automatically. If you are easily bewildered by things like file extensions, worried about accidentally deleting system files, and don't know how to access "hidden" files on your computer, those installation programs like MCPatcher are perhaps more for you.
This is all going to change in a few months when Mojang introduces the changes for 1.4 that include the new official API library, where it should get a whole lot easier for non-technical people to be installing at least simple mods. It should become eventually as easy to install a mod as it is to install a texture pack. Just drop it into a folder that pops up when you press a button in the game, and you are done. Once you install ModLoader, it often is just as easy though.
I'm using Spawner GUI on 1.3.2, and there is a bug. Concretely, when I right click a spawner, the GUI shows up correctly, but when I select a mob and press esc, the spawner hasn't changed(for example: I have a pig spawner and want to turn it into a zombie spawner. So I right click the spawner, select zombie, and when I press esc, the spawner still spawn pigs. When I right click again the "pig" field is still marked, like it would be if I hadn't done anything).
So each time i try to download modloader ,for my minecraft 1.3.2, it had a error report. Someone can help me?

Only running with mod loader installed, deleted the meta-inf folder, cleaned out the mods folder. and have started from scratch a couple of times and still getting this error.
yeah the monster spawner gui dosent work, i try to pick skeleton or zombie and many others but when i exit the gui it dosent selct them
Try this, place the spawner, exit to the main menu, re-load the world, see if the spawner can be changed then. I think this worked last time I tried it. If not, you have to change your game mode over to creative.

What program are you using to open the jar file? Is it 7zip or winrar? If not, then it's crap and it's corrupting the jar file. Get 7zip, it's free, or use the texture patcher or magic launcher.

Thanks ALOT for that, so helpful. Modloader by itself was crashing, but doing this fixed it! Thanks!

Im using MCPatcher since MC 1.1
modloader 1.3.2 no more compatible with Rei's minimap , MorePaintings, Optifine..
avs.class
avg.class
these class seems have most conflicts between mods.
Found modloader compatible with :
(test with shelf and wasteland generator mod needing modloader) and all mods are for 1.3.2
HD Texture
+ HD font
+ random Mob
+ custom colors
+ connected textures
+Better skies
+TMI
Not working with modloader but without
Rei's minimap , MorePaintings, Optifine
Maybe other mods working together or d'ont work....
What hell will we have with futur MC 1.4.x......
