Since I keep forgetting to update the thread here for years at a time, I'm removing the content and just gonna do a vague summary, some screenshots, and a link to the proper thread over at the computercraft forums, here.
Requires ComputerCraft to program the blocks. With basic programs, you can then move the blocks wherever you like, so they don't have to be connected to a computer in use. The saved programs are basic - basically, emit a at some level on some side in response to a programmed codes or players' unique bioprints. Lua programs running off the blocks' events can allow for more complex programs as well. In addition to the keypads and biolocks, there are PRBs, programmable redstone blocks, which can be programmed to act as logic gates, or can be used as peripherals for sending and receiving redstone input/output away from the computer, without the complexity of using a separate computer.
Feel free to include in modpacks, I just ask you pm me to let me know, because it's just nice to know people are actually using my mod. No need to get specific permission, though, for public or private modpacks. Bug reports and other feedback, please post to the official computercraft thread for a faster response.
GET OUT OF MY HEAD!
I've wanted this for ages and mentioned it to no one. Right down to the ability to limit access to things depending on access level(mind you, that was thought out using another mod for that).
Can one even use Redpower jacketed cables with this? Like, have access levels output higher color combos?

Thanks, guys. I implemented it back before xmas, when we were all still anxiously waiting for an update to RP2 for new MC versions. I'll certainly be adding some form of RedPower bundle support, as well as analog redstone support with the next minecraft version. Haven't given much thought to what the RP support will be, but sending signals on different wires for different access levels seems like a good idea. Will probably add methods or parameters to let you specify which color(s) to send on, and on which side(s), for each access level.
It would be nice if they could also be programmed by RP computers, but I have no idea at present how I might go about doing that. I'll have to look around the RP API a bit first, and play with RP computers themselves more, before I can even think about planning something like that.
bump for v1.0.8, fixed a rather large bug that somehow slipped through. apparently I'd never thought to test it by directly connecting it to a wooden or iron door or trapdoor; if I had, I would've learned that it did not work on any of them! They would open, but never close again.
Someone reported it on the cc forums tonight, found the problem and fixed it.
bumping for 5.1.2 update; had forgotten to update the post here when I first ported it, and found the thread had been archived along with the rest of the old content packs subforum. Working on a new version with new features and a new programmable peripheral block which should be finished in a few days!
