Probably not. Seeing how this is a minecraft map, not a standalone game.
I know that it is a Map, but Nintendo has taken down patch files for ROMs, which are legal. Patch files don't contain any original code from the stock ROM, only modified code, which is what this Minecraft Map sort of is.

It certainly wouldn't surprise me if they did. I mean, I can kinda understand protecting your trademarks, but they go too far, even stepping over the legal border. So, keep copies on hand to disperse if they try to take it down. If they do try and it's outside legality, I'm actually hoping Mojang slaps them for it.
I dunno, I just love (most)everything on these forums. I love encouraging other mapmakers and stuff. By doing this, I've kept half a dozen maps from dying.

You mean mojacrosoft? They can easily hurt Nintendo a lot if they wanted to.

Correct. As this is a Minecraft map and not a Pokémon game, there's practically nothing to worry about. I think Pixelmon is a prime example. And unlike the mod, everything in this map has been handled in a unique way.
However all that being said, we can't rule it out - it's possible it might happen. I just don't think it will. It's outside their scope.

Nintendo can be trigger happy whether you consider something fair use or not. If they wanted to take this down, neither Mojang nor Microsoft would care enough to get into a legal battle over it. Too much cost for a single map that doesn't really benefit them.

No matter how unfair it seems, nothing is outside of their scope. For an obvious example, Nintendo strikes down an awful lot of videos which fall squarely under fair use. Not a perfect comparison, but you get the idea. I agree that they won't do anything about this, but it's important to be aware that if they want to they actually can and will successfully burn this project into the ground.

I was reading this comment chain and I couldn't help but laugh.
Nintendo gets WAYYYY too trigger happy, I can understand if people were paying for these fan games or ripoffs, or if there was an actual way to gain money off it. However with Pokemon Uranium, there was only the one download link, still got shut down.
And I do think this map is safe, because Pixelmon has been out a long time, and it's still fine, I used to play a vanilla Minecraft server based on Pokemon GO, and it's still up. So the chances of this map being taken down is unlikely, but still possible.

Check out my website Here!Website is down until further notice. This isn't "modified code". It technically isn't code at all. Note that I said "technically". I don't think we have anything to worry about.

Figured it was time for a change.
Very Noble of you~
Doubt it, since its in MC they probably can't really touch it but idk I'm not a legal person.
Questions aside, HYPE!

Not trying to start a fight or something. But I can't tell if you're complimenting me or being sardonic.
Let's leave it at that.

So let's download it, everyone, before nintendo discovers this and takes a chance (No, I'm not joking)

Goodbye Minecrafters
I think Nintendo will send a DMCA anyway. But I hope this map will survive anyway!
