Hallo!. i have questions for you. is this use mods? or maybe resourcepack?
No resource pack or mods are necessary. At least not resource packs. But the mods, to my knowledge, do not have to be used to run the map. They are optional.

Yes, this is indeed correct. And if you play with custom npcs you will have the full experience.
The second release will be 0.2. If by 0.9 I'm not close to recreating the game we will get 0.11, 0.12, etc. like Minecraft's developement is going to do supposedly.
Ooooh! That'll be fun. Seems like a dialogue based chapter which finally accounts for your past decisions. And then halfway through... witherstorm invasion. Just speculation based on the preview.
Oh, forgot to mention; The firework dispenser has some redstone on bottom but no connection to the lever on top, too. Telltale seriously don't know anything about redstoning. Anyways it's not minecraft itself, and the map files are similar to half-life 2 ones (background elements make it be better enough plus tries to prevent too much overload/lag by using low quality textures)
Also, I don't understand how this...thing works (but i see some signs under the lava there, so I guess i understand that part, yet, we don't know the rest of it):
Also, heres another view of the beacon:
Red - The redstone texture is either placed incorrectly, or it's like these (see picture 2 on bottom)
Green - The stained glass is placed into the wood...and I'm having issues while trying to find out if the wood is oak or spruce.
Blue - The reasons why we can't make it functional
And it's strange that these fences are connected to nothing/air:
LOL! Hypixel, Sethbling and Logdotzip should give Telltales some redstoning classes! And this....thing, I think if they put fences under the lava instead of signs, then place signs on the front of fences and on top of them more signs, it would work as a dispenser furnace for food. You just dispense the meat, it goes through lava but also bumps on the fence in the air and over the signs! But of course, that wouldn't work because Telltales knows nothing about redstone...

That, and appearantly the builders ingame don't know about it either. The only ones who can work redstone are the ocelots. The fireworks dispenser worked because notch activated it from the heavens above. It couldn't work when copied as is. Jesse's team is really bad at this, and Olivia becoming Ellegard's protege seems like an unrealistic outcome. XD
Assuming you're not referring to the farlanders mod, it still wouldn't work out because it would require cropping regardless. I will still probably need MCedit so I'll add that tract of land with it as well. But even if I have to do it manually I'll think of the most efficient way possible.
Best solution is a WorldEdit mod of some sort.
In case you want to know my progress, I finished the forest walk section and all I need to do is build the underground tunnel to the bridge which leads to endercon, then I can probably throw up another build.
Mind taking more pics of the Rainbow Beacon build? I'd love to rebuild it on my world however I have the console edition instead of the computer edition and I cannot download the world. Plus, I'm pretty sure the wood beam are regular Oak. The shading makes it darker but the 'rings' are bright.

No problem. I'll upload some later today. Give me 5 hours.

Telltale doesn't even use that many vanilla textures, as I have discovered. And it's not just the lighting. In fact, upon close inspection, I have found many many blocks that don't match up with vanilla ones by any means. Therefore, I would like to deem in betweens as interprative. I could make an oak version too if you like for screenshots, but it would not look as cool or accurate from the player of a map's standpoint. Still thank you for pointing that out, but I won't change that particular detail.

what is it??
edit: is it for minecraft 1.7.10?
1.8 forge/custom npcs, 1.8 map.
Earliest, Sunday. Latest, following Sunday. I think I can make it this weekend though.

And I will do as much as I humanely can.
Also, I'm about to redo endercon. And maybe add a few barrier blocks to make it more limiting on movement.
So, do you want me to help? Or you got it?
BAD TIME INTENSIFIES
I can probably handle it, but if you want to help it would always be appreciated
Version 0.2 released.
-Added much of the forest walk area
-Created coarse dirt roads
-Rebuilt all of the structures at endercon
-Changed Reuben to a baby pig
-Altered terrain surrounding endercon build site to be much more accurate
Download in the OP.
And appearantly the rainbow beacon DOES work when copied exactly. You just need to send the signal to the piece of redstone on top.
Yeah, I might need to expand the water I added this update because it isn't long enough.
Well I would love to help you X3
BAD TIME INTENSIFIES
Well anything from chapter 2 onward hasn't been even touched at this point. So it would be great if I could get someone to build parts of that.

Oh dang. Well, I'll have to try. If it comes down to it I can run an earlier version of Minecraft when the farlands was a thing and run MCedit.
there is a farlands mod for 1.8 i believe.
