Since this is a work-in-progress map/add-on, DO NOT EXPECT THIS TO BE IMPLEMENTED INTO THE SERVER. This is just an idea and it may be scrapped in the future. Though, the map may be up for download in the far future.
This is an idea inspired by LabJac's new TDM server. The idea is instead of just have spray-and-pray style of gameplay, it would add an objective for each team that must be met (or your team loses). I have scrapped the idea of a Chinese vs USA battle because I had trouble finding a susceptible map, but (with the power of MCEdit) I have made a D-Day style map. It isn't finished, but bear with me here. The story is like a new WW2: WW3 has broken out and the US is preparing to do an amphibious assault on what is the coast of France. The US's objective is to take the beach and kill the commander (who is in the bunker). The German's objective is to defend the beach until the timer has stopped. How will this implemented into the server? I have no idea. I was hoping Jac and I could collab in order to put this on the server. My plan is to offer this idea up to LabJac and also offer up the map I am making. This style of gameplay isn't only fun, but it will also create a sense of teamwork amongst the soldiers in order to get the task done.
The first picture shows the main bunker in the middle, another bunker to the right of it, and a trench.
The second picture shows an over all view of the beach from the point of view of a German MG.
The third picture shows a sandbag dug out on top of a small hill just left of the bunker. It has a good view of the ocean.
The forth picture shows the bunker just right of the main bunker as shown in picture one. This bunker has a good view of the beach.
The red, stain glass wall you see in both pictures one and two is the border of the map. This is so it's compatible with maps on the server (b/c they too have red walls around them). I have decided to scrap the red border. That way, it doesn't affect the over all quality of the map nor will it affect the gameplay. Pictures will be updated tomorrow, including a pic of the USS WASP.
Okay guys, I got bad news and good news. The ad news is-I am scrapping the map because it's WAY too small. I figured it wouldn't help having a really small beach as your map, so I've decided that I would make the experience better. The good news is-I plan to have it on an actual island (before, it was on land NEXT TO A FREAK'N MESA BIOME), and have it set somewhere in the Philippines. The story would be the Chinese have advanced into the Philippines and have made beach fortifications around the island. After a couple weeks, the US Marines have arrived to take back the area. Implementing the server thing is still in the works (B/c LabJac still hasn't replied back). Bunkers will be hidden in the trees and the ship I made will be a lot bigger. Sorry for the inconvenience, guys.
Hello guys, I am back with some more good news and bad news. Let's start from the beginning: I was using MCEdit to put in a really cool ship just off the coast from the beach. Once I spawned it in, disaster struck. As soon as I turned on Minecraft and opened the world, MCEdit freaked up and deleted over 30 chunks in the world. Sad thing is, I FORGOT TO MAKE A BACK UP. The good thing is, I made a repair on the map using MCEdit. I placed in the bedrock layer (which was destroyed from the glitch), and I tried my best to put in source blocks so it would not lag (because running water lags a lot more than still water). The map still lags, sadly, but it doesn't lag as much as it did when there was water running everywhere. If anyone out there can tell me how to un-corrupt the chunks, I would be in your debt! The less laggy we can make the world, the better!
Sadly, chunk errors took over the world. I am still going to work on the project, and I have expanded my arsenal of mods. First things first: make BACKUPS. That's where I went wrong in the last world. I am now making a map involving World Painter (which so far has gone good) that has a beach five times larger than the last world. This setting is going back to the China vs US Amphibious Assault battle. I will use MCEdit for one thing: the ship. That's it. I will update the original post by tomorrow with pretty pics. Although it's currently a map in version 1.8, I shall copy the map into my technic 1.7.10 world.

The comment I made before about making it a China vs USA battle in the Philippines is false. Now it's a battle b/w the Germans and US.
