It's up to you as David Windermere, popular journalist of that unnamed city (it's not neccessary to name this somehow), and David does not believe in fairy tales, as his uncle that has asked for help with academy doings and to conduct own detection. Map principles are not based on just to direct a player to solve the case, but on some other entertainments, minigames, puzzles, education stuff! And it's cause we need more people for development.

Map with detective gameplay - you'll going between halls, rooms, storerooms trying to solve the history of ghost (and you know it will be human). Run, read, come thru, don't forget about a mission, just be attentive, help anybody.

Particularly used resource pack - Origines of Rome. Why "origines" and not "origins", I don't know, but it's pretty awesome - you can see vanilla textures and at the same time roman-styled textures of wool and of other not so often used blocks. I haven't attached Conquest resource pack what author recommends, cause academy will look very ugly after this: like in middle ages. We needn't it, author of this awesome resource pack, I hope you will understand me.

Protagonist, journalist David Elroy Windermere.
6 years publicist, 3 years in the IT and 1 year polygraph. By specialty - technician, but this does not prevent him from practicing a little bit different - for example, to investigate the mysteries of the academy, why not? =) to become a famous journalist. He was quite famous in 5 years to once be published on the cover of the most popular journal. And thanks to this soon forgotten uncle Richard have spotted him and called him to help in academy, stay a little longer as his eyes and ears.
Oh yeah, that uncle Richard Quinn Rennoll.
Deputy director of VillAcademy. Recently, he is in a very big tension about the situation at the academy, which suddenly acquired a scary atmosphere. As I noted, he asked for help his hephew David. Feel free asking him about advance, cause he is very interested about all the hell is going on there.
Janine.
Girl, event orginizer. Fashionable and charismatic, Janine never takes on the case without the initiative. Her events often benefit, but in recent days state has started to decline due to difficult situations.
Janine does not think everything, that happens there, is something complex. She's very close to superior sense of the protagonist - she has a deduction, and if she has started calculating the offender, she "would do it anyway". Although she refers to the work (not enough time, "the time has come to dig the beds"). She used to throw off the job on other people (it's hard to say that she is very busy, as she says).
Arnold.
Lighting operator. At the time he took a days off, but this time you have to replace him for all the functions of the mechanic (repair, equipment). Later, Arnold returns, because the work, as a whole, is not dusty, and the money is needed.
Absence of him that days - a reason to reflect what he was doing all this time in fact?

After reading about the characters, you can not guess who EXACTLY (except protagonist) is the cause of disasters perpetrated in the academy now. Too many suspicions! Be careful of snooping, don't get caught!
// Exterior of academy
110 wide, (140 ± 20%) longways and building of academy that is situated on terraformed natural plains (thanks to MCEdit). The building is surrounded by a water moat. There's bridge. Front yard is grass free area. All area around is full of various types of flowers.
// Interior
Now we have main hall, dining room (cantina), assembly hall, mechanics control room, library.
Main hall - place where you're coming first to select in which direction to go next. Direct road - to assembly hall. Main hall has 2 upstairs in forward and column design.
Cantina - here you can have a snack if you feel hungry (you will). Vanilla Minecraft food + toasts. It's another one place you need to look at off hours in a kitchen.
Assembly hall - place where your fantasy goes up! Almost every day people go here cause they like such entertainments and this scene is very popular by not also its glowing floor.
Machines control room (workshop) is situated above assembly hall (actually, it's very huge, so I placed railway). It controls all the lights in assembly hall. Mechanics also tried to equip assembly hall, but left some machines in workshop and retarded after accidents in academy.
Library is built for smarter people, as all we know. Remember this stereotype and you'll learn more... Library has also an archive room, where you need to get in if you dare.

/ ! \ No modpack! It will be 100% vanilla cause of user votes (80%).
At the moment we have version 1.8 map so there's only development versions of some important mods.
Some rooms are not ready, architecture of academy is not done.
But there's secret placements under academy, which player can't find while he don't know about how to get in them. And these secret placements are our target now - but others must be IN academy (not under), so your suggestions about architecture correction will be much appreciated.
// Scenario notes
There will be more guesswork, trying to know a name of the "ghost". And every time player can be not right, so scenery can go in other ways. I think it must be interesting. I will have no secrets from my future map team, but at first any participant must to take the oath to keep his word about the map from third parties.
What's about action. It's very important to show up attitudes between characters - in them we can mirror topical problems of people (as an educational stuff). Entertainments and minigames will give sence that nothing is bad actually, they just leave a pleasant aftertaste! And puzzles that make you think, read smth.

I like this idea, but I think that the building itself looks a bit, ... well spartanic. At least from the outside. So I'd like to apply, if you're OK with that I am a bit busy with other projects too, so I can't give 100%, but at least 90%

Pretty building(I've included screenshots), basic redstone, basic command block magic. (Giving special enchanted Items with Lore, creating books with text that is clickable and executes a command, ...)
Constructive Development, that means story writing, lore writing etc.
Can't do:
Voice acting (my microphone broke :/ )

OK, let's make glitters gold Academy needs some pretty exterior above. Cause of sun light and further building process, I've not made a roof. And as you say, it must be "non-spartanic".
At first, I have included book with warppoints. In next version, I'll try to easy scoreboard listing. Nevermind, the map itself needs some reconstruction (now it'll be not 110x111, it'll be 110xMore, just a rectangle). After my MCEdit I'll transfer the map to you, so you know what to do.
I'm creating a conversation for team... People, who has good abbilities, join our development.
What I'll try:
Task list in da one book (such a magic!).
NPC movement for scenery.
Villagers movement - first step to remove CustomNPCs from my scenery. But map WILL be either in both versions (vanillla and modded) OR just in modded Minecraft.
Issues:
I have tried teleportation of Villager to nearest block every slow repeater (like a linear movement), and it doesn't move at all, but only warps to last point where redstone signal ends. Maybe I'll try with AI: on.
