Alright. I'm going to start work on the next and final level soon. I don't plan on it being very long. I'm mostly planning on making it a fairly open area which is mostly a frame for going into the final boss battle. I just wanted to know if anyone wanted to help build it. I can host a server with the map on it. Also, I've loaded the newer version onto dropbox.
Just downloaded, fyi the map doesn't work with minecraft 1.8.6, downgrading to 1.8.3 to play it.
When I say it doesn't work, the repeater doesn't flash/pulse like it should in the bedrock room you get to by pushing the "Push if you think this will lag" button.

I made a video of your EPIC map, divided into five parts. Part 1 is out now for you to hate on, be neutral on, or love, depending on your preferences.
Mind if I put this in the OP? And by the way, my name is pronounced Tal-ist, as in, Talcum powder. At least, that's how I pronounce it. It used to actually be Talest with an e so it was even closer to tallest.

Huh... that's kinda strange... well, in the development version I think that is irrelevant anyway.
I mainly wanted to say that, in the effort of getting this done, I'm going to try and spend about an hour building it per day until I get it finished. I have a server to host it on 75.167.202.150 . However, that IP is subject to change as I don't have a static IP. So, if you want to come on to watch/help/grief/judge my life choices/insult/whatever I'm going to be on around 6:00 PM Pacific Time each day. This is the farthest I've ever gotten a map, and I'm not giving up on it when its so close.

I don't mind at all! Part 2 and 3 are also up by the way (see spoilers).
Ah, the struggle of trying to figure out how to pronounce mapmakers' usernames. I apologize.
I just played the map, and I must say it's pretty great. The spells all work and are interesting! If I remember right, I chose the "book of life" class, and I assume the experience would have been totally different if I had chosen something else... A few things:
1: Divine Wrath costs way too much mana. I get that it's an "ultimate" spell, but it pretty much takes your entire bar! It's easy to plunge your mana to about -30 if you use it accidentally.
2: Archangel mode was totally awesome, but even though I was upgrading it, it activated once in actual combat once I got it and then never again.
3: The slime boss fight... I actually had to skip it. It took like 10 minutes just to get a moment where I could hit the buttons, only for my window of time to last about 10 seconds, and it wasn't even clear what I was supposed to hit. There were TONS of mooks, and each group on their own were okay, but the slimes were too far spread to hit with my Aoe spells, and the Industrial Waste was indestructible, as far as I could tell. Really, the problems just pile up too much in the boss fight. Maybe make the monsters less durable and spawn slower?
Part 4 is live! And I corrected myself for your username pronunciation in an edit for Part 5.
-
I had watched part 1 on the day it went up, but only got to watch the others yesterday. And the reason Halo got stuck in a block was because you used Pull of the Grave, which buried her underground. I'm really starting to hate that spell. It used to be my favorite one... but it just ruins EVERYTHING. It sometimes breaks boss fights, it breaks Halo, it breaks the slime boss a little. I'm really thinking of replacing it. It doesn't help that Cleric seems to be the most popular class. ... And I should remove that button after you hit it once for the cultist, huh? And get a cheat button for parkour. And get more spawnpoints. There's a lot of bug fixes I have to do, but just can't right now. My main computer is broken right now, leaving me to post this on more mobile means. I really, really, REALLY hope I don't lose my map data... if the hard drive has to be wiped, then I lose my progress on level 5 and all the optimizations I made on the main game so far...

Other than that though, great map!
It might be. I made it cost so much because Cleric was already really good. Although if I replace Pull of the Grave, then that leaves more room for other spells to "be good"
Hm... Archangel mode is broken? It... was working fine for LucasScooter... weird...
You had trouble with the Slime Boss? In my testing, one holy hand grenade would almost kill the whole boss. Although I should take into account how people won't know what to look for. Thank you. Now if only my computer would work...

Well, I hope, for your sake, that your computer gets working again. I knew that Pull of the Grave got rid of Halo, but I just don't know how you'd fix that. It didn't get rid of the first villager you saw in the tree place.
Yeah, you should probably remove the cultist button. Unless you want people to get unlimited Ancient Tomes.
The cheat button on the parkour would be a godsend!
To be honest, Pull of the Grave was one of those "do everything spam it a lot" spells, since it held down the minions for almost as long as it took the spell and my mana to recharge. Of course, both it and Chain of Light would hurt Halo(and I guess the iron golems too), so every time I cast them I felt SO GUILTY. Poor, poor Halo...

Final part is hot off the press! Stick around until the end to see your final rating, and have a wonderful summer.
Also, poor, precious Peaches can be added to the list of Pull of the Grave victims. May he/she/it rest in peace. At least I don't have to dig a grave (ba-dum tish!).
Looks great! I'm gonna try it out. This would make a GREAT server btw. You wouldn't even NEED mcprohosting or whatever, because there's no plugins. O wait, also make sure people don't destroy blox in Lvls.

I have terrible news... they're all dead Dave. ... Apparently, the hard drive got damaged and the fan is broken. I'm not going to have access to that computer again for several weeks. Maybe running a minecraft server on it 24/7 wasn't the best of ideas. And even though I tried to pull data off of it, I somehow managed to save practically everything except the map files. So... I'm really sorry... especially to the people who put so much effort into helping me make those parts... I've dug out a laptop and now I'm running Minecraft on that to build the map. But, I'm not able to host a server. Again, I'm really sorry this had to happen. But, I've spent too much time and effort to give up now. Sunk cost fallacy, ACTIVATE! This is a burden I must carry... alone. My current progress has gone down, my computer's processing power has gone down, the number of helpers I can have has gone down, the amount of time I have left before MC 1.9/everyone gets fed up with me has gone down, everything has gone down... except for my determination... and free time to waste on this. ... The later being the more important of the two.
Currently, I'm going through the map bug fixing stuff. Next, I'm going to replace Pull of the Grave and then re-redo Shapeshift to make it more interesting. And then I'll start level 5. Again.

sorry...
And BTW: Peaches went through the Ethereal Keep and fell to the flatland ground.
Wait, so you DID have a sorc's dawn server? What about only on weekends, say, or not at night? Saves money and memory, my friend has a server and proved it this works!

I prefer to think that he/she found and landed on a helpful bat and flew away to a new life... a better life. None of your lies about falling to an untimely death!
Also, I think that this map is so good that people can wait until 1.9. Then again, this is coming from the person who took a year to write a novel, three years to code a video game, two (at this point) working on a map, and one and a half to start up a YouTube channel, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me.
