I feel bad for not making any recent progress or updates of any sort. It's probablty because...
School is taking up a lot of my time.
I'm reading more of Fan Fiction.
I'm playing Bejeweled in real-life.
Sometimes, I just need a long break.
Mobile applications keep me busy (like Montezuma Blitz).
Yeah. :/ I know these aren't good excuses for my lack of mapping, but that's just how it was. Well, I review the feedback and make an edit on this post once I'm done.
BTW, thank you so much for the 50+ downloads from Alpha 0.1.
EDIT: Sorry for late reply, but here is my reply.
@Stankataa:
The items: I liked them a lot! Amazing! They did take a while to make.
The structures: Above OK. I liked them. The Old Man's Cabin and the Snow Fort are a little bit empty. The first dungeon is really nice. It looks really good.I think you should leave the lights in the camp in the Snow Fort, so the player can feel like home there and around you should make it dark and nasty so the player can feel the camp like a light in the sea of darkness. You're right about the Old Man's Cabin and the Snow Fort being empty. Of course, I will do something about that. All I need is some ideas on what I could add. BTW, did you feel that the houses in the Ye Olde Village felt... empty?
Other: I really do not know on what you should focus on. I am really not that experienced in mapmaking. The only mini--ctm map I tried to make was a disaster! Well, thanks for letting me know about that. :/
In conclusion I must say: I expected the map to be way worse! Great job and keep going! Then again, this is in the Alpha stages, just to let you know.
@Iciciliser:
he village design was fairly simple, but I liked it. It's large enough for players to explore it. I really like the use of darker fences of the windows.
Cool. A few houses still need work. Their rooftops are concerning me.
really liked The Chambre of Lost Treasure. That area is probably the highlight of the map at the moment. Some of the hallways felt a little long, but I think when the monsters are added, it won't feel like that. But yeah, awesome work on this area.
This dungeon currently holds the best-detailed work. Thank you for the compliment.
personally not a fan of complete randomness in snow based structures. I decided to make some changes to the tower to make the quartz stand out more. Here's my take on it: The snow fort needs more inside it to match the impressive long walls that you've laid down. I suspect you're probably not done with this area though.
Well, at least the quartz does stand out. Moving on...
The Snow Fort requires me to brainstorm for ideas to clear out some of the emptiness.
Basically, I haven't been doing anything to improve this project lately. :/ Well, I have my reasons as to why this is happening (still). I'll let you know that one of the reasons is because the desktop computer that I do my stuff n' things on is experiencing major conflicts. I sure wish my father can afford a new computer. Now, I have to resort working on a laptop computer, which is slower to work on (in Minecraft) than the desktop. :/
Though, I seem to be more active on my [Parkour - Key Grab] project, Around the World in 80 Levels. You can find my other project by clicking on this link:
Total playtime: 30 Mins.
Although, most of that was trying to find things to look at.
Being unfinished, I'll refrain from rating this.
The concept is cool, but you need to work on it more. Excuses may be a thing, but you've notified the community that you've started this; time to finish it. Keep in mind that large projects, such as this, do take time. You will have to trade other things for it.
The builds you have made are pretty cool. Even though they need a lot of detail work in between the major areas, overall, they're very nice.
To conclude, you've got a start. Next job, work, work, and work on it, implementing ideas as you receive them, until it's complete.
I got distracted and took vacations during my first map (also, school) and it took me over a year to release. Be persistent.
Good luck.
Here's something useful:
I began in Creative mode in the midst of a large field.
I switched to Survival and noticed I had 9 experience levels.
I took it upon myself to start afresh and did all that I could to reset my statistics.
I checked on some gamerules before I began. doDaylightCycle = false, doMobSpawning = false, commandBlockOutput = false, keepInventory = true, mobGriefing = false, naturalRegeneration = true.
I'll take it on myself to survive in anyway I can.
So, I stole the framed torch and the chest.
I planned on taking the time to get stone tools, but I soon discovered that the layer under the dirt was Andesite, which is useless for tools. Nice move, mapmaker.
Needing a vantage point, I climbed the nearest hill (to the north). There was a lone chest sitting under a tree that was completely empty.
The only clue I had of where to go were some coordinates in the book next to the spawn area.
I saw a beacon nearby and walked to it. It was surrounded by chests and command blocks, dubbed the Cluster Clutter. There was so many powerful items that it looked like a workstation for making the map. I took one black cap; that is all.
There wasn't even any food.
Decided to go to the Snow Fort, as it is the only thing I knew the location of.
I began to walk and realised the massive distance I needed to go.
I switched to Creative Mode and flew there, passing empty land.
Once reached, I was led on a path of markers around the outside of the wall, which was uninteresting in its tessellation.
I found a ladder and a sign that labeled it as Dungeon 2.
I haven't even seen the first one. Wonder where it is.
I entered the wall and ran through the camp. Fairly unimpressive, but it has potential.
I liked the ice tree.
Walked around a bunch, all of the chests were empty, the ice cavern isn't implemented yet.
Switched back to Creative to see what there was left.
Having absolutely no idea where else to go, I checked the forum page.
I didn't see any locations, so I decided to start over.
I flew around close to spawn and found the Olde Village landmark.
Saw some villagers with normal trades.
The buildings are pretty nice, albeit empty.
I left, looking for more and stumbled across the Chamber of Lost Treasure.
After entering, the first thing I noticed was a lack of and obvious way of opening the iron trapdoor. Poor design, there.
The treasure is truly lost, as the majority of the chests were totally void of any items.
So far, the build looks incredible. Appropriately huge for the CTM genre.
There appears to be parkour-esque travel around this large, bright room. Reminds me of the council room from Star Wars or Lilo & Stitch.
Continuing from the bottom of that room, I came to a long one with pillars. Looks very cool, though the lighting needs to be updated.
That's where the wool will be, then the player exits into a field.
I rose from there, into the sky to look around more.
It's pretty from this vantage point.
I'd like a map of the world, if not obvious paths to the different areas.
Found the Old Man's Cabin.
Nice touch with renaming the chest.
Not wanting to wander even more, I opened the map in MCEdit.
The snow biome actually isn't too bad, seen as a whole. The trouble is, the player won't see it as a whole.

Hey there, Crimson here. After having thoughts about the map's current position, I'm going to say that this will be re-imagined. And here are some Question & Answers that I'll put down.
Q: Are you saying that you're cancelling/terminating this project?
A: No, I never said that I was stopping this project.
Q: Now that you answered the first question, why is this being re-imagined?
A: "That is an excellent question." While this was labeled as "incomplete", I'd say that this needed a LOT of renovation. And, unfortunately, I lost a lot of motivation to continue working on the map due to desktop computer issues (that's where I used to work on). Plus, I noticed some "random" things that caught my eye. Now, I'll give this project a fresh, new beginning. Basically, the [aCTM] project is being revamped!
Q: What can we expect for now?
A: For now, you will expect some posts that will contain some ideas/concepts that the new map will/could make use of. And if I happen to start working on a new map immediately, then you should see some updates, along with announcements.
Q: But what about the Alpha 0.1 download?
A: I'll put that in something called "The Old Archives." That means that you can still view the (now) original and greatly incomplete map.
I'll be honest: I have not recently worked on the [aCTM] project. Right now, I would go on a laptop computer (because the desktop computer had a problem before) to do my own and other things. It actually hasn't come to thought about maintaining this project.
Since they always say to never give up, that's what I'm gonna do! After celebrating my 16th birthday (that's how old I really am now), the Minecraft merchandise that I got as one of my presents will be a reminder to play Minecraft (with the latest updates). In this case, I'll get back to the game and work on this very soon and keep you updated.
Well, Happy Birthday (if I am not too late). If you don't want to continue this project there is no reason to, so don't do something you don't like doing.

What? I'll let you know that I did like the [aCTM] idea and I will start on a new map (but it will be smaller).
Final Thread Announcement!
This is Crimson and I am now informing you that I will start on a new map instead of working on the incompleted map. To make you believe this, I have posted on the CTM Community thread. (Click here for post!)
Also, I have taken down the download link because it is no longer needed.
Thank you for the support. Don't worry, you can find on the CTM Community thread. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm requesting a lock.

Well, at least school (from where I live) is easy for me. Yes, it does take up a lot of my free time. But hey, it's the law, right?
Hopefully, I'll feel motivated enough to continue working on the [aCTM] map. Snow Fort & the landscape really needs work.
Oh [aCTM] map... I sure wish I can help you out.

Well, a "big" update is when I happen to get a lot of stuff done. So far, I only built this:
This could be "The Hub." You know, a place where you read rules and other things. Getting familiar?
I would like to create a fresh, new [aCTM] PM, but who would want to help me out?
How are things going with your map?
I'll be honest: I have not recently worked on the [aCTM] project. Right now, I would go on a laptop computer (because the desktop computer had a problem before) to do my own and other things. It actually hasn't come to thought about maintaining this project.
