I am making a post here due to the fact that I am currently in the process of trying to locate a specific version of an old adventure map, and was wondering if anyone could offer any support.
Previously active YouTuber Batclone made a 13-part series on an adventure map called "Boulefield" (link to the playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfWr2cEL1-LynHuFIYFap9jTQT83itcrT), a map made by MC Forum user preistbob initially in November of 2011. The forum post to the download link for the map file is since deprecated, and therefore inaccessible.
I have managed to successfully find a version of Boulefield to play, but it is NOT the same version as appearing in the Batclone series. I have found a much earlier release, that I believe is for version 1.0 of Java Edition based on its files' dates of late 2011. The version that Batclone is playing in his series, and the version that is seen in most YouTube videos on the map, is the later release, which I believe is for either 1.5.1 or 1.3.2. The latter of these is completely erased from any point through which it could be previously accessed, and therefore it appears lost.
I have already reached out to the original creator and am awaiting a response, but until then, does anyone have any insight on this, or any old links/files that they could provide? Any support is greatly appreciated as, like "Around the World in 80 Days," this map is on the verge of complete extinction, and I would love to see it preserved as a significant part of Minecraft's history.
