Hello! My name is ANDstriker, and this is my first ever map, the 1v1 Arena.
All of the structures within the arena and the arena itself is made from glowstone, orange and cyan stained clay, making it a very simplistic design which is pretty to look at, but doesn't distract the players while in battle...
The map features lots of corridors, sniper spots, forms of cover and even an underground section made for close quarters engagement! It's meant to be played alongside various weapon/gun mods with your friends. I personally use Counter-Guns, a 1.10 mod which adds 7 new weapons from the popular first-person shooter CS:GO.
RULES & BASIC INFO
Here are the rules and basic info about the map:
-No block breaking/placing;
-No use of cheats (even if they are enabled);
-You can only have one primary and one secondary weapon;
-Max amount of grenades allowed is 4 (stacking allowed);
-At the click of the "START GAME" button, the player will be teleported to the center of the arena, and a message will pop up on the screen, telling all players to move to their spawns, which are located on both corners of the map;
-Both players must flick the "READY!" lever in order to start the game;
-When the game starts, players will be put in creative mode for 15 seconds in order to duplicate weapons from the chest into their inventory. This phase is called the "Preparation Phase", and the 15 second countdown will show up on the right side of your screen. During this time, barrier blocks will be placed in all of the spawn room's openings (doorway and roof), meaning the players will not be able to escape without breaking the blocks (which is forbidden);
-Game ends when someone dies, and they will be teleported back to the original spawn area outside of the arena, meaning that they'll have to press the "START GAME" button again. When all players are in the arena and inside of their spawn rooms, only one of the levers has to be flicked off and on again to restart... Please note that you have to wait anywhere from 25-30 seconds between lever flicks, because if you flick it too fast it will mess up the command block and redstone timings. Also, make sure to throw out all of your items from the previous round into a small pool of lava that's located in the right corner of both spawn rooms.
