In terms of suggestions, how about an area in the house where you interact with players living in the walls [Borrower's/Minish Cap style]? I think that would be neat.
I love when players devote their attention to detail. It was my driving force during the creation of The Realm of Dunminveng. If you'd like a bit of inspiration for secret rooms for your map, I would recommend checking out my adventure map, as it's FILLED with hidden rooms, and you're free to use any mechanisms you find noteworthy.
Best of luck, and I look forward to playing through the finished product!
Played through the map, and encoutered some pluses and minuses.
+: Interesting water parkour, and I enjoyed the blindness parkour immediately after it.
–: Way too much ladder parkour, bland flatworld, and jumping through the tall four square pillar didn't do anything, it just killed me and spawned me above the spawn room. I would recommend a /tp to a Credits room or something, just for closure.
All in all, a decent map, but I guess it felt a little thrown-together. Players want a visual experience too, so perhaps your next map should be a little more decorated.
Did you jump inside the four square pillar? or did you land on it's side? Btw, I made many more maps, I am currently working on a Save The Villager minigame map.
I had a lot of fun with The Biome Stone. Lots of neat little particle effects and puzzles. Very enjoyable. I was dispappointed it was a "to be continued" ending. So I guess I'm looking forward to the finished product.

@bAceX
That sounds like a sick idea for a map, man.

I jumped into it! Perhaps some /tp circuitry didn't work. Did it send you into another area?
I play Minecraft alone so I can't play this. But it looks like you've gotten plenty of exposure! Keep up the great creative work, man.
@FilmTech
Great map! Loved the redstone circuitry, creating puzzles with effects [teleporting arrows, etc.]
Very nice, short and sweet.
What would your rating out of 10 be?

Eccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc
I like big maps, but I'll rate based on its own genre.
6.5/10. Sorry if it seems harsh, but it was really quite enjoyable.
I have a parkour map called Parkour Planet!. It may be ragey at times, just to let you know in advance.

It's not the first time you'll die...
It was ragey, but not in a good way.
I was spawned flying above the spawn area, in creative mode. A sign told me to switch to adventure mode.
The parkour was annoying, but hardly challenging. You abused barrier blocks.
The books were a bit of a pain, and had spelling mistakes.
The world was plain.
I'm gonna have to give this map a 2/10. Sorry mate, but that's my sentiment after playing until the end. Use this feedback to your advantage.
@Robspierre There was water at the bottom of the pillar and there was a credits room there
How odd... from what I remember the bottom was a solid block and I thought: "hmm, I was supposed to die...?".
Obviously something went wrong during my play through. Sorry about that!

Rating: 7/10.
How about my map? It's a horror/adventure map called Into the Depths. No jump scares, just atmospheric, psychological horror with a deep story, varied environments, and interesting characters. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/maps/2426028-horror-1-8-x-complete-into-the-depths-a-story
Can you do multiplayer? We just built a really cool multiplayer map.
