Uh. If I try to download your map I get a warning pop-up. You're the first map this happened to the others also use Mediafire..
I promise the download is 100% safe. It's probably some ad that comes with mediafire or some extention with your internet. The other people who downloaded my map didn't have this problem so I don't know exactly what's causing it to appear for you.
Today I played Elysium by RenderXR. Overall I really enjoyed the map, it had a nice variety of dungeons and I loved the whole open-world feel it had going for it. The dungeons weren't too hard to find because of the small size of the map, but you still had to look for them. I only have a couple of complaints:
1. The part towards the end of yellow wool with the ice parkour floating over void annoyed me. I didn't fall, but I came close a couple times and it was just more nerve-wracking than I think it should've been.
2. The nether portal at the top of the orange wool is very out in the open and it's very easy for a ghast to hit it and deactivate it, so unless you have a flint and steel you have to wait for a ghast to shoot it again to reactivate it.
3. The TNT that blows up the bridge at the beginning of the red area is kinda mean. I mean the concept is good, but I think there's a little too much TNT. Makes it annoying when it blows up half the bridge and you have to rebuild it yourself.
With that, have a speedrun of the map.

Ya the map name is Y=1 becuase you know Y level... void fog....? oh never mindIm pretty happy with how this turned out, some people might not see it as a jam map, because reasons i'm to lazy to type out . You can read this in the READ ME note page in the download. (I decided to change this paragraph to say something useful) Most of this map keeps you at the Y level of 1. Hence its name. Using Optifine to turn off void fog is largely forbidden and will break the map. I hope you have fun and play other peoples jam maps! They all look terrific. I probably forgot to do something in this download, but you know have fun. Why do i try with fancy downloads seriously
So far I'm really loving it. The spider part is ridiculous though. They do unbearable amounts of damage even with most of the armor you gave us. Not to forget they give knockback. Maybe throw in some kbr armor before that room? Also the cave spiders in the red wool room are just.. un rewarding. I personally think nothing should be in the red wool room because those guys hurt and it's just wrong for them to be the ones that kill you rather than the main room ones. And you have to go all the way back there just to deal with them again.

The problem with the cabe spisers i believe its,
They are suppose to drop a piece if flint sharpness 1 attack damge+3 i think i nay have accidently put in their hand slot because they should be regular cave spiders. Do you think the drops the siders have were useful? Tell me if you have trouble with the next area, i personally didnt have a problem with it so i bumped up the difficulty a tiny bit, i wrote thid on my phone expect some spellibg errors

I just updated my map download to fix a few bugs some people have let me known about, hope this still abides by the rules and hopefully everyone enjoys the new version
More and more maps popping up and they're all looking really good, so much so I'm getting excited for my Halloween playthroughs. I'm easily scared anyway, let's see if any of them will keep me awake all night!
ROUND TWO!
So I've played through all the wave two maps and here are my opinions on them: Nest of Misfortune by Mixinu- (more deaths than I can count)
Difficulty- 9/10
Fun- 4/10
Craziness- 17/10
This map was all sorts of wacked up. Firstly, the natural spawns were a bit overwhelming as were the mobs that were spammed at the player from the loads of spawners everywhere. I'm assuming this map is suppost to be a big joke as well considering the really strange custom mobs that had no actual theme. Anyways, after finishing the first area, I bum-rushed the second area and got the wool in a matter of minutes. The third area was easy up until the boss fight room, which I'm guessing was not playtested one bit. Having more than a dozen mob spawners in a 16x16x16 block box is never a good idea. It was impossible to get close to the boss or shoot it because I had no bow or arrows. I gave up at the last wool for that reason. This map was quite the experience and made me giggle a bit as how weird it was at times, but it needed much, much more balancing.
Plague by Xhen- (2 restarts, dying is not an option :O)
Difficulty- 6/10 (for me 8/10 because I think something broke...)
Fun- 7/10
First things first, this isn't a CTM map. I just wanted to get that off my chest. It had similar aspects to a CTM map, but it felt much more like an adventure map. Anyways...
This map was pretty well balanced except that there was too little food and too little torches. Those are the only things that made the map much harder than it should have been. I like the concept of having to wear the armor to go outside as well. It reminds me of so many different other games. Anyways, I experienced a problem or naturalregen change after the swamp-like area. I would never regenerate even if my hunger bar was full. I was stuck at half a heart for the rest of the map for some reason. I'm hoping that's an easy fix though; it's the only thing that really ruined my playthrough. The aesthetics were gorgeous in this map and the extra work with shaping the armor stands really added to the creepy atmosphere.
Spook by Coolfool88- (7 deaths, he fixed the map to be balanced though :D)
Difficulty- 6/10
Fun- 7/10
So 90% of this review is probably complete bias since I played an early version of the map that was rather unbalanced. I told cool about it though, and he fixed it. Since I can't rate the gameplay, I'll just comment about the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics for the most part are pretty decent, but needed more depth. The walls were all flat and I would have liked to see some depth or occasional missing blocks in the wall to make it look like it's falling apart. The cave areas all looked great though. Especially the last area. Even though it had void in the last area, it was very forgiving and fun to play through.

Y=1 by Browneye (too many deaths)
Difficulty- 10/10
Fun- 2/10 (This may be biased too. I hate void maps, so that makes a huge impact on my rating of this map)
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I hated this map with all my heart and soul. The intro to the map was most-likely copy-pasted, the second area (which had the wool) was really unfair, and I gave up at the spiders area when I lost the only sword. I did a fly-through and noticed how cruel this map really was. The loot distribution made the map extremely unbalanced and unfair as well. I just really hated this map. It's loot was so scare that dying once wasn't really an option. :/
Sleepless Nightmare by Chipmunk- (0 deaths)
Difficulty- 4/10
Fun- 8/10
This map is so extremely generous with it's loot that it made all the areas much easier than they probably should have been. The speed boosts on armor made later areas really easy as well as much more fun to "fly" through. Knowing that this map was made in 8 hours or so, it is very well designed and balanced, and the aesthetics are great. The second area was pretty boring though. As long as the player kept running, they were safe. That and the boss fight were a bit underwhelming. I just pillared up a few blocks and shot the boss until it died. The other areas were amazing though. The beginning area was easy and fun, the third area was also easy and fun, the fourth area was pretty brutal but it was exciting dodging the crazy creepers. Overall, a really enjoyable map!
Victory Pic-
The Blackmoor Mansion- (0 deaths)
Difficulty- 5.5/10
Fun- 7/10
I don't have much to say about this map. The areas were short, sweet, and simple, and the design for most areas were small rooms followed by a 3x3x3 block hallway. There's nothing wrong with that but I hoped that there would be more than just two areas with hallways and one small cave area. I also was a tad annoyed by the hidden spawners. 90% of the spawners in this map are hidden in some way which just made it a bit more frustrating that I would have liked. Especially since pigmen spawned while I was still searching for the spawner in the wall. Those are my only complaints, the map was easy and really well balanced, but the areas were a bit repetitive in my opinion.
When I said that this map was an adventure map, I didn't mean for it to be insulting, but the whole idea of a CTM is to "Complete the Monument" but there were no objectives or monument. That's why I said it felt like a CTM map, but it had some CTM aspects missing, which in this case, was the monument.
I guess there must have been some bug with command blocks or clocks or something because I stopped regenerating health after the swamp. Before that, I could regen all I wanted. Perhaps saying in a book that regen is intended to be off could be helpful, so the player knows to be extra careful. I thought that I would regen when I was in the swamp, so when I finally realized that I couldn't get my health back, I was stuck at half a heart for the rest of the map. And maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, or maybe I wasn't keeping my inventory organized, but I think I never found those regeneration potions you mentioned...I'm sure they're somewhere and I'm just blind though.
And don't get me wrong, despite the weird glitch with the regen, I liked your jam map a lot. There were so many almost unnecessary details that only made the map more immersive and fun to play through.

Hey just wanted to keep this thread a bit more active by saying I've begun to do playthroughs of the Wave 2 maps on my channel (I've already completed the Wave 1 maps so sadly I won't be recording those) I just put out my first episode of Mixinu's map so enjoy!
Not much to show so far, as I've only been working on items and custom mobs thus far (plus I was busy most of the day), but have this fairly bland screenshot of an opening platform I guess.
(For anyone who cares (and remembers me posting earlier about it) it wasn't malware at all, but my hard drive just breaking. Bah. Fortunately they got most of the files off it okay. This is why you make backups people!)
Edit: Huh. This is my 100th post. Sadly still several days till fireworks night.
Alright, Going to join this wave of the Haunting Strawberry Jam and hopefully have better luck than I did in the last Jam. Haha. I'll be streaming over at

http://www.mediafire.com/download/w65ngyzt4pex9d3/The_Null_Machination_[MC_1.8.X].zip
Infomation:
For MC Version 1.8.X (I made it using 1.8.8).
Difficulty: Hard, and hardcore mode.
Length: 30ish minutes, but it's hardcore, so screw up and you're starting over.
Objectives: 4 'Rift Cores' (Orange Wool)
Optional - 4 Void Fragments. Can also be used to upgrade gear instead.
Brief Description: Hard custom mobs on platforms over lava covered void. Upgradable unbreakable gear, and a dark netherlike theme.
This is likely the hardest map I will ever make. Well, unless people find it easy of course.
I guess the only real 'Horror' is how many times you will die before beating it. Hopefully. Maybe.
Previous Images (Kinda Outdated):
Oh, and it also features a name about 5x better then my previous jam entry.
Enjoy! :3
