(We were allowed to start yet? Because I did at about noon, and if not, than I think I may have broken some rules...)
Just finished some hardcore speed work creating two of the three BASIC island themes. Ones more of a icy, pillar-ed area, and the other is a gigantic forest. Excited to start adding more content and start some dungeons!
Will attach images for now, does anyone know the easiest way to have images built into the page? The only way I can do it is if I get the image from another website. Like, what if I just wanna use a picture in my files, but I want it in my post (as opposed to underneath it...)
Those Ice Pillars remind me a lot of Broken Wizard from VFI. Looks nice.
This map reminded me of old Vechs maps. There was some sort of nostalgic feeling to it and I like that. Anyways, this map was good, but it was really short (I finished it in 20 minutes or so) and easy.
Yeah, I've been getting the "short and easy" from a bunch of people, but I like it this way. I might come back to it sometime and rebalance it, but I might not. Oh, and it's definitely short; my best time is, like, 1 minute 19 seconds.

soem more images. finished the general looks and areas, tomorrow ill have to add in the spawners and all. thats goig nto take soem work. it looks crap compared to my other builds but itll do for the jam.
-I really liked the map. It was short and easy, but I didn't mind that at all. I enjoyed walking around the house to get to the intersection. The areas all felt unique and was fun to explore.
-Something I would have liked to see more of would be how the cyan wool area was part of the house itself. I liked how it feels you're going through the pipes of the house and finally emerge out of the drain pipe. I got a similar kinda feeling from the light blue wool area, but thought it would be very neat if all the dungeons functioned as a part of the home.
-I also think the walk to the center would benefit from removing the alley ways between the buildings. As you see in the video, I find the center really early and adventure around afterwards. If the alley wasn't there, I probably would have followed the intended path. I also felt the outside buildings could have benefited from some extra aesthetics, but that's just me.
-Overall I thought it was very fun and reminded me of older CTMs, which I really liked.
(To people who watched my other speed up run. Let me know if you liked the 4x speed or the 2x speed more. I think the 4x is a little too fast, but I want to see what people think)

So I've been working for the last 4 hours on my map, been making some pretty good progress imho. I'll probably take a nap soon and then continue afterwards.
Meanwhile, here's a screenshot of some of the stuff I made so far. Feedback is as always appreciated.

Excited to see where this is going!
The island looks very empty right now. You know what I'm going to say: Trees. Some type of tree/environmental object needs to be used as a filler around the area. Maybe make a "cactus tree" or something. You can use your own interpretation of that. Other than that, I like the shape of the area. The buildings look fairly square, maybe give them a bit of shape. I'm excited to see what you can do infinisquee!
So, first I tried using MCEdit - Takes forever for the slightest detail to render and attempting to save causes it to crash.
Next, I gave VoxelSniper a try - Serious difficulties finding a working version, and the server keep reloading chunks at random, wrecking my work.
I'm seriously considdering just making a single player void world and building floating structures instead of islands T_T
I'm gonna give WorldPainter a try first, though. Who knows, maybe I'll strike glod.

I'm giving a try at this wave, why not. I am 70% sure I'm not going to finish the map by the 17th because I'm working without inspiration and things are not convincing me. Anyways, here is a screenshot of the spawn island (Not finished yet, I'm thinking to add some 1.8 blocks, altough the map is in 1.7 right now).
PS: I have two areas made but those aren't pasted in the map and I still have not made them into actual island shapes.
Speaking of things which are aesthetically complete, my first island is aesthetically finished as well! Now onto loot and gameplay for it.
Feedback and whatnot is appreciated, and remember to have a fun time jammin'!
I like what you've done with the caves. They seem interesting, although the area is still VERY empty. The wool box is GARGANTUAN also, not sure if that's intended or not.

Alright, third times a charm I think. Giving it another go to see if I can actually complete a map for this Jam.

That's what happens when you only use boss mobs. I'm pretty sure that this is my first ever wool box
Also, can anyone help me a bit with command blockery? How can I give a player a potion effect if he drank a water breathing 3 potion?
