Damnit now I seriously feel what I've made worst map in this jam. :\
Don't sweat it mate, you're a beginner. These are all pretty experienced mapmakers while you're still learning. Hell, I deleted my first jam map because it was so bad. The jam is intended to also be a good way to learn by doing something quick and dirty and get quick feedback on your skills so you can improve. Besides, from Caec's review it seems that the map wasn't half bad, which I'm sure is more than a lot of us can say about our first mini map/jam map.
First thing: way way way too easy. From start of map to end, I had all of the same loot. All 3 areas were pathetically easy. I suck at CTMs, and I just walked right through it, without any effort whatsoever. Definitely need to buff mobs.
I liked the aesthetics and how close the map was to itself. I did the whole street part in the beginning and then after I found the monument, I dug one of the walls... and there the beginning of the map is. Speed runs will definitely be funny.
Good job on the map, but balance is completely off.
That right part looks eerily similar to my map.......
I was just thinking that. In the pic, it looks like one area is forest, another area is water, and the last area is fire. Let's just hope the last wool in his map isn't a boss fight...
The Good:
-I liked the backstory. It was a nice idea and I liked how it gave purpose to what I was doing.
-I also enjoyed the visuals of the map. There was a good use of blocks to create texture as well as add challenge. Structures were also designed well and added atmosphere to the areas
-The Sadness and the Anger I enjoyed. I felt they were pretty well balanced in terms of loot and enemies present. The area right in front of the Red wool could have been unbalanced in terms of amount of enemies, but I thankfully found a fire resist potion which negated most of the damage I would have taken.
The Ok:
-The Happy was a little too easy. I think some natural spawns or a small number of spawners along the beach area would have made it more interesting. I was able to build a boat and just sail to the wool and all the islands with loot. The enderpearls in one of the chests also made it easy to get from the wool to safety.
- There was no way out of the Sadness wool area without me pillaring out. A teleporter would have been nice, preferably right where you jump down so people can leave an return at will.
The Bad:
-The Gross was very unbalanced. The speed of the spiders was way too high, and if more than one spider spawned from a spawned, I most likely died. There were too many spawners and the poison "cure" never actually worked for me, so I spent a lot of time fighting spiders poisoned. My suggestion for the area would be to either keep the poison mechanic or have fast (but not that fast) spiders, but not both. The path to the wool once you climbed down the later was also hard to spot, specifically I didn't realize the path looped around, I thought the bridge was to get to the chest.
Overall, other than the Gross, I enjoyed the map. Here are my victory screenshots:

...How?! I honestly don't care if this ends up being the least balanced map I've ever played, it blows my mind that you made that monstrosity in three days.
Says the guy, who made a full-sized jam map
But speaking of the jam, the entries are just so good. I'm now playing Eventide Trance by Three_Two, and, oh man, it's awesome. Also, I'm really looking forward to playing "The Phantasm" by TikaroHD. Good work, guys!

You'll get there one day, it just takes some time
Hey...
Hello CTM Community. <3
I basically didn't want creepers blowing a hole between one dungeon and an adjacent one. Because that's how compact this map is.
Are all of the maps composed somewhere or is that something that I could make a thread for?
There get put in a spoiler a couple of days after the jam!

I don't care about the Xs. You can call me Navarog. Or Nava if you really want to be a hipster. It's fine.
Ohh, I thought you were making fun of the second area in my jam map. Nevermind what I said then.
I'll play your map as soon as I finish the other ones!

Hello CTM Community. <3
Wow! I honestly haven't been looking at anybody's maps yet. I did just check out yours and, I'll be honest, we had very similar ideas!
EDIT: Sorry still new to the MC Forums, this was a reply to CoolFool8888.
I wasn't planning for a boss fight. But yes, I also happen to have fire/water/earth themed areas.
EDIT: And this one is a reply to Ty_Plays_Minecraft
Well looking forward to your take on it!
