So I'm back form my 10 day hols (That's why I couldn't do Waves 1 or 2) and it turns out I have a problem.
You see, I've been mentally planning a map that sounds very similar to Zeus's Trails. It's the same ideas with Power, Courage and Wisdom areas. It sounds incredibly similar, though I haven't played it . Yet.
I'm quite annoyed at this, but I'll continue as planned and thought I'd post this before I was accused of copying.
Out of interest, does Skyward Sword and Legend of Zelda mean anything to you Ty_Plays_Minecraft ? It appears our inspiration came from the same place, (I say, with the Hyrule Historia on my desk.... this'll mean nothing to people who don't play LoZ :/ )
To answer your question, I actually am not a huge fan of Skyward Sword or Legend of Zelda. It's just that when the jam theme "Sky" was announced, I immediately thought of Zeus since he's the ruler of the sky according to Greek mythology. When it came to brainstorming lore and area ideas, I came up with the three trials. It just seemed to fit well with the theme, so I stuck with it.
And don't worry if your map's lore is similar to mine. I won't mind it at all.
I'm decently happy with how my map turned out, at least for having never built a sky island before. The aesthetics aren't quite where I want them to be but I'm very happy with the mobs & loot provided although it isn't too challenging.

Wow, after seeing these incredible maps I'm not so happy with how my map squares up... But what can you do, I had fun making it, it's the first thing I've ever released, and I didn't have a TON of time but I look forward to playing these all when I get a chance!
Eventide Trance is based on the idea of character progression in addition to vanilla Minecraft's gear-only progression. You must survive an open-world where you'll be able to attack strange obelisks full of enemies in order to gain permanent health upgrades. When you feel strong enough, there are 3 dungeons containing the music discs needed to complete the jukebox monument. Good luck!
*a strange voice yells form above* "HAHAHA!" "little player your in for one hell of a journey! I've taken memories from your past life and corrupted them now you need to collect to Memories in special boxes to get back home!" This is my entry for the 7th annual strawberry jam! I spent alot of time on the lore in this map! I've never wrote lore before in a map so i tried my best in this one!

I didn't think you would, I was just surprised that it sounds like you created Legend of Zelda in minecraft unintentionally!
I shall give it a play today and keep your map in mind while making my own to try and provide a different experience.
Just played _Krose_'es map, excellent job. Was really well balanced and, although it felt a bit easy, I did find it really fun. Excited to start three_two's map shortly.
Slap me if I someday say I'll build a space map again.

Ranger, you have a mission. The old terran ship Phantasm was located, with valuable information inside. Be it with stealth and care, or with sheer brute force, get it and return back. But be careful, as there will be heavy resistance.
-END TRANSMISSION-
God this is a shipwreck. It seems that as I make more maps for jams, my time management just gets worse and worse. This beast certainly need another good couple of hours of polishing to be at the point where I'm satisfied with it, but I wanted to get it to a playable state and not go over the jam time limit too much. Be prepared for possible absence of balance, as I did only one quick run-through.

...How?! I honestly don't care if this ends up being the least balanced map I've ever played, it blows my mind that you made that monstrosity in three days.
(Also, everyone's maps are looking super impressive, I can't wait to play them all. Hopefully I'll have time to take part in wave 3.)
I have mixed feelings about this map, so I'll just list the positives and the negatives:
Positives-
Good aesthetics
Interesting concept
Great lore
Derpy Villager that made me laugh
Negatives-
Overwhelming amount of ghasts in area 2
It's kind of annoying to try and hit the spectres with the snowballs
Anyways, here's my victory pic.
Elements Above:
I really enjoyed this map! Even though it was really easy (I beat the map with 0 deaths and I don't think I ever lost more than half of my health) it was fun to play.

I'm surprised you had trouble with the snowballs, I didnt really have issues with it while testing. Other than that (and the Ghasts which I'm not sorry for :p) I'm glad you enjoyed the map!

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah it's really easy but by the time I had placed all the spawners and tested it I was not in the mood to change all the spawners to amp up the difficulty.

Happy to play your maps! They were both really good.
Caught in the middle of a massive lightning storm while piloting your airship, you desperately seek refuge... and discover the abandoned outpost of Cloudhome. Legends are numerous, but nobody knows for sure why it's completely deserted. Soon, you'll find out that it's not as empty as you thought...
Important notes:
- I actually finished this yesterday, but due to terrible internet I was unable to upload it.
- Natural spawns are disabled - it helps immensely with balancing purposes.
- Mobgriefing is disabled - the map is a bit compact, and rather than give up using creepers, I decided to do this.
- Due to how tightly packed the areas are, I recommend not digging through too many walls in order to keep the experience at its best. Most of the buildings are empty anyway.
- This map has had next to no balancing. Good luck.
- Please don't blame me for the terrible aesthetics. It's tough to make things look good, y'know? Prioritizing is also hard.
So I was originally intending some sort of elaborate time-travel-loop map, but that idea was quickly abandoned and I went with this instead. None of the lore I had come up with fit here, so as a result this map has no lore other than what's in this post. I mean, it's probably atmospheric as heck, but no story to speak of. I feel like the map as a whole is barely adequate, but hey, at least I finished it. What I think will be most interesting about this map is any potential speedruns, so... yeah, go right ahead if you feel like it.
