Gonna try to get back into CTMs by playing the jam maps. Will be streaming for fun, probably with no viewers. :3
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Hey there, all. I stream CTMs as well as other indie games, Minecraft servers and probably that's it. I'm your supreme overlord too so I command you to CHECK ME OUT: www.twitch.tv/techniclepanther
Yo guys. The full list of Jam Maps has been updated in a google doc that can be found in the original post. Huge thank you to Coolfool for taking the time to get all of this together!
I finished my jam map as well! This was my first attempt at making a map in 1.9 and I think it turned out alright. The difficulty is meant to be at around 'normal' but it can fluctuate a bit. There are a total of six objectives in it so I hope you enjoy it start to finish. Just be sure to look around very carefully. Some of the wools are rather hidden!
Hey all. As is usual for a Jam, we have the streamers coming out to play! Please, send me a PM and I'll be sure to give your map a shot. Planning to do a bit of streaming today as well, so feel free to join!
Edit: ctRy: I think I'll be starting with yours, if you don't mind. That looks rather amazing!
Edit 2: Though you might want to work on that whole Brutality thing. Players can't do much with speed zombies all around them.
Edit 3: That one needs to be worked on. Speed-modded Zombies and Spiders at the start means the player needs armor and a way to deal with it. If I can't effectively make it to the first dungeon, much less set up a base after 20 deaths, something is kinda troubling. I made it to the monument, and started to climb. Loot was non-existent save for the potions chest, which was nice, but everything kinda floudered when I couldn't move without a skeleton in my way, or a zombie I couldn't outrun without proper food. 1.10/1.9 changes things, and the first big one is that skeletons are nightmares without armor, a shield, or a good amount of food. Speed-modded zombies have been a problem for a lot of maps, and the horses were a nice touch, but a spawner for them would make sense, as would some armor to give you a chance to defend yourself. I see what you were trying to do, but since dying out the gate appears to be the idea, you're gonna have to give the player a chance to explore more and die in the rest of the map, not just the start. NEXT!

Yep, couldn't agree more. Couldn't get past the start, thought it was a bug. It's a shame too, I really liked some of the area designs, but I couldn't be bothered to keep dying in an endless fit of rage, to where I can't even get all of the materials out of the starting chest.

Oops, I'll fix this. It was sort of a bad level design to make a super large open world with really sparse dungeons, so I added fast horses and fast enemies. For right now, killing the three horses at spawn should make hostile mobs slow back down to normal speed.

Another Jam round is coming up! Can't wait to see what we get with the theme of "Apocalypse." Also,
*looks at new Google Doc for jam maps*
"Blade993"
(Someone always gets my name wrong...)
Sorry about that! It was pretty late when I made the doc so I'm sure there are a few mistakes
Delaying till Wave 2 to give myself more time to think up some ideas for area themes and such.
Looks amazing orion, I love those cliffs

Check out my channel here.
So, my map is progressing well.
"Typical Shadow Bridge Area #4"
Also, because I didn't post yesterday (stayed up too late making map...), have another screenshot.
I wonder how many deserts there have been in CTM maps? Add one more to that figure.
P.S. +1 to TJ. I love when people make videos of Jam maps. (Mainly as I get to watch people play mine. And hopefully die.)
Looks pretty good, I'll make sure to stream yours.
Other screenshots literally in the post above this one.
