Nowadays, there are a lot of huge adventure maps. Some of them use all the space, but a lot is left empty. This challenge forces you to re-think how you build to make optimal use of the limited space.
Rules:
1. When posting your map, you have to include pictures along with your download link.
2. The map has to be 25x25x25 or less. However, it is allowed to place redstone or command blocks outside this space, as long as the space that the player can get to is limited to 25x25x25.
3. The map must be playable without mods
4. No /clone cheating to get a much bigger map anyways
That is all! You can leave any of the sides open if you want(cause not all maps have to be indoors) as long as the player can't go out of the space. Good luck and see if you can manage to use that limited room to make a functional mob arena, dungeon crawler, boss fight, minigame or anything else.
How long do we have? I am going to make a adventure map (If that is even possible) Can we make a place outside the box where people spawn at and then teleport them inside the box (so we dont have spawning outside the box)
No time limit, I just want to see how long I can get this thread going and with how many creations. Spawning outside the box as some kind of lobby is ok.

No more spawn box that set spawn and teleport please, use /setworldspawn, that technique was for 1.6 stuff.
And type this:/fill ~-25 ~-25 ~-25 ~ ~ ~
barrier

Obviously you can choose where people spawn but it's nice for there to be some kind of lobby where you get items or press some buttons to pick a class/difficulty if possible. Spawning right into the action is not cool.

I would say that other than doing the challenge, it's a bit pointless and won't get you anywhere if there no other goals, can you find some sponsor?
And no, only make the lobby to press and join, the shop should be in the box because it is a big part of a map.

The challenge is the point. I don't think anyone would pay for this.
I don't even think a 25x25x25 map can be complex enough to require a shop.

Can we get a map with the 25x25x25 (bedrock)cube, thats easier.
The bedrock cube is actually 27x27x27, so that the space inside is 25x25x25.
Just use a bright block like red hardened clay and make a cube of 27x27x27, but don't fill the sides, just build the skeleton and then you build inside that.

you know, I just thought of this challenge again and realised something. If you made clever use of the /clone command, the 25x25x25 really wouldn't be much of a limitation.
It's called 25³ Thunderstorm and has a Cutscene a Bossfight and a small Story
Nothing really Special
I also want to note that I changed the challange for me a Little bit
- 27x27x27 box of bedrock (has to be bedrock)
- Redstone has to be inside the box
Also am I allowed to create a new thread with a similar idea? I want to Change everything a Little bit and i would like to create a new thread for this (with my rules) i would of course link your thread.
It has custom wands, a custom spell book, 5 different spells, death eaters that use 5 different spells, a story that was created for this map & a miniature version of diagon alley

To give you an idea of how much space you have:
I used the /fill command. You can just place make a 27x27x27 outline of bedrock(no filling the middle, only the skeleton) and build within that.

Hmm I might be able to sponsor...

Yep, the walls can be part of the bedrock box. Well, it doesn't have to be bedrock since it's ugly but you get the point.

...
I could just Change the whole box all the time?
With commandblocks outside?

I created a small (not that good) 25³ map http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/maps/2496332-253-253-thunderstorm-a-map-built-in-25x25x25

all redstone is inside the bedrock box

Do you have to contain all of the command blocks and the redstone inside of the contained space?
