A few things:
- My map will be completely linear, with the monument (called the "Gate of Salvation") at the end.
- Aiming for hard difficulty.
- Four objectives.
- I'm making it in MC 1.6, but I'm going to balance the gameplay around 1.7.5.

Spikes are done with the '/cs build spike' command built in to the Build Commands addon for Worldedit.
I really like the way your map is going, with the void-ish theme. The atmosphere you're creating is actually the first thing I thought of when I came up with the "Journey" theme. (Not saying that the other interpretations aren't great!) And The Painter's going fine...
As for myself, I just finished hollowing out Area 1/4, Torture Chambers, which is entirely interior. Might take a while. My goal is to get that area done and maybe start on 2/4 by the end of today.
I've definitely got a plan for mine now, in terms of gameplay...

So after thinking all day I finally came up with a map name, My map will be called Diminutive Calamity, What do you guys think of that name? It sounds complicated and yet simple at the same time, Or at least I think so.

Mine was kinda hard to classify, but it's along the line of linear mixed with open world.
And I actually wanted to post my starting area, but after seeing everyone else's starting area, mine's looked REALLY bland and I'm ashamed
