The Maze Tower by soulesblur.
Creativity: 1. It is a maze. 5 floors of mazes. The concept of being in a tower and trying to get out is overused, but at least it's not the Portal plot that many novice mapmakers use. Not only that, but the maze doesn't have any aspects to make it unique from others: it relies on your motivation to make it through the tedious tower.
Difficulty: 2. It is easy just to wander through hallways, but it does rely on how patient you are.
Detail: 1.5. I like the tower design but you need a lot more block variation and depth on the outside. (research what that means)
It is also on a stone brick superflat map. For your next map I suggest making it on a regular world. Inside the tower are just 2 by 1 hallways with stone brick floors and one material for the walls, depending on what floor you are on. Yeah, not visually appealing.
Gameplay and Experience: 1. I don't know if other people feel the same way, but wandering through hallways is boring to me in a Minecraft map. Nothing else to say. And what do you get for this tedious, hard work? Absolutely nothing but the freedom of getting out!
Seriously, no The End sign, no fireworks, no anything. Just staring into the bland stone brick field that you are now on for eternity. Yeah.....
Overall Score™: 1 + 2 + 1.5 + 1 = 5.5. Terrible. Use this constructive criticism to make your map better. Diamonds to you. Any comments or questions?
I agree with you on the creativity part, even though I haven't seen many maps (im fairly new to Minecraft) I wouldn't be surprised if the idea had been used, same with the Difficulty part. I'm lagging, so I haven't looked up what outside depth yet, but I'll get to it. I did it on a flat world so I wouldn't lag while making it, but I'll do it in a regular world next time. I didn't realize how important block variation was until after I read some map reviews (not just yours, but I read most of yours.) I'll work on that, last I checked though there were only 2 types of gold, and 1 type of glass. personally I like mazes, but opinions are opinions. I laughed at the line "Just staring into the bland stone brick field that you are now on for eternity. Yeah....." I will use take into consideration what you've said for future maps. Thnx a lot for the review again, it's my first map, and I didn't know what made a good map yet. EDIT: I looked up outside depth and all that came up was football charts
You need to make the walls have several layers and make it more visually appealing. Kind of tricky even for me.
Keep in mind that if the build delivers a good atmosphere or delivers fantastic gameplay I would raise the detail level to a 3 (Code II: Infinite)
Personally, I think that mazes are bland and boring compared to some of the other maps that I have played (take Herobrine's Return, Spellbound Caves (don't play Inferno Mines, random loot kills it.) Eronev Chronicles, etc.) Many maps also use mazes as one of their puzzles as a filler to add time to the map.
Update: Reviewing Finks Lab (another CTM) against my better judgement as soon as it comes out of beta.... I have nothing else to do. (Also, praise DeToxxic for making that picture guide thingy)
What makes your map deserve to be played: It got third place in a mapping contest. It's a very unique map that has custom loot and epic villager trades.
Is your map for Singleplayer? If not, it can't be reviewed: Yes
Estimated Completion Time:1-3 hours
I agree that if the review is harsh you will not rage: Yes

Thnx for the vid, definitely helps. Ill probably practice with general buildings than a map/ I made a maze building because it's the only thing so far I've found I'm good at making and I enjoy hem. but yeah, thnx again for the review and video. and just because it sounds challenging enough, I will make a maze that is at the very least visually appealing.

Spindle Caves by Orchard29 Warning: I haven't really played that many CTM maps, but whatever. Creativity: 2. The custom loot, side quests and custom trading are gimmicks that work, even if they are a little grindy. However, a spider cave is nothing original. Difficulty: 2.5. I was debating whether to give a 2 or a 2.5 on this one. There is a good challenge getting to the wools.. Maybe you could spread the spawners out a bit and maybe give some more loot in case you die again. Detail: 2. I would give a 3 if you removed many of the cobwebs... a wall of spider webs are not pleasing to the eyes at all. Besides that, block variation is definitely great, but the cave is a little... gray. Gameplay and Experience: 2. Although there was a good challenge finding the wools (maybe a little harder) the grind to complete the bonus monument and the red wool somewhat ruined the experience. Still, this is an above average mini CTM that you should probably play if you have time. Overall Score™: 2+2.5+2+2 = 8.5. Above Average. I liked the map, but I really didn't find anything unique in the setting, lore, etc.
Ugh... This map is the exact definition of insanity.
For my 10th map review, I chose:
Saw Adventure Map by dracolich66151
Creativity: 1. I liked the idea of the map, but the execution was very poor. Basically just parkour and mob fighting.
Difficulty: 1. I'm not sure if you even playtested your map. If you set the game rule KeepInventory on, this would probably get a 2. Here's what happened. Pay attention to the notes that I wrote while playing this map. Sorry for caps shouting, but I raged.
These moments made the map impossible to complete and forced me to go into Creative mode.
Detail: 1. Stone walls with no decor whatsoever. Generic Minecraft terrain. Story interests me but I don't see any "risk other peoples' lives" scenarios anywhere in the adventure.
Gameplay and Experience: 1. I had a poor time playing this map. I mean, look at those notes and you will see why. I'm just giving you some basic pointers to help overhaul your adventure.
Anyway, here are the notes:
Spawn in Creative. No.
Two pathways, chose right one. Easy.
So we have to walk over pressure plates to kill these zombies. I'll just put on this armor and... OH THESE ZOMBIES ARE WAY TOO POWERFUL OH I DROPPED MY ARMOR.
I HAVE TO COLLECT LIKE 32 ROTTEN FLESH TO PROCEED THIS IS GRINDING NOT FUN
I DROPPED INTO LAVA #LESSPARKOURMORESTUFF I LOST MY SWORD GRRR
WHAT I HAVE TO USE MY SWORD AGAIN IN THE NETHER?
COLLECT LIKE 64 BONES TO GO BACK? THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE
Overall Score™: 1+1+1+1 = 4. Terrible. Play it if you are hungry for Saw-related content. Use this constructive criticism to make your map better. Diamonds to you.

hehe thanks for the review! I will change to have keepInventory on and make graphical changes....
Other then that you should review "the labyrinth" the very first adventure map ever made!!!!
Found it on your post on G and O studios topic...

One Block Survival by G_And_OStudios
Creativity: 1. Skyblock clone, but it's just one block and you only have wood.
Difficulty: 1. I gave it a one because it only contains 2 challenges. However, I was shocked when I found that
you could not build a house. The block was so high up that it was impossible.
I am not sure whether this is intentional or not.
Detail: 1..... block. Go figure.
Gameplay and Experience: 1. I'm sure you could just punch zombies off for days. Still, that's basically all you can do. The lack of supplies and challenges makes this map one of the worst I have seen.
All in all, this is a diabolical map that takes aim at Noobcrew, says, "Here, have a bad map," and then walks away.
Overall Score™: 1+1+1+1 = 4. Terrible. Use this constructive criticism to make your map better. Diamonds to you.
The most reviews in one day I have had thus far. Wow. It may take time for all 3 of your reviews to process, due to the quantity. I'll review from what I think will be worst to best:
Sonic Lost World
EFPTL
Prehistoric Times 2: The Aftermath. If this map has a story that started in the first I will review that one also.
I especially like the colors: I'll change the format.
Apart from that, I think the overall application will stay the same, but I am thinking about making a few changes to it. I may look back to your post sometime in the near future so I can "borrow," any of your questions. Thanks for suggesting that
Sonic Lost World Crafted by G_And_OStudios. Well, this is a lot better than One Block Survival. Creativity: 1.5. Although you did try to replicate Sonic, I didn't really see anything particularly creative. The jump pads just teleported you. One block parkour removed the sense of speed. Wall climbing did not have a purpose in the map although you could do it if you want. Difficulty: 1.5. The one block parkour sections were frustrating for me but the other sections were easy. Detail: 1.5. Entirely on a superflat world but I can see you used MCEdit, I see obvious brush strokes on the ground in the third level, erode that. Try to make the terrain more natural instead of making cubes. Gameplay and Experience: 1.5. I feel like this does not bring back memories of when I played the old Sonic games a while ago. The parkour sections and lack of creativity contributed to the score. Overall Score™: 1.5+1.5+1.5+1.5 = 6. For each section there were several things that made me bring the score up .5. xD. I hope you can improve your map Diamonds to you.

Name of Map: Prison Escape Link: http://www.minecraft...59-prisonescape/ Genre: ADV What makes your map deserve to be played: It's a cool idea, has achievements, an easter egg (not for the faint-hearted), traps, can be played with more than one person, is a ok-lengthed map, and it has a 'twist' ending. Also, if you die, you respawn on the top of the buiIding, which you still cannot escape (spolier, its an achievement). I know it's weird to have a prison with an escape hole in it, but it's part of the story. If you play Prison Escape 2, you will find out about it. Is your map for Singleplayer? If not, it can't be reviewed: It is for Singleplayer, but it can be played as Multiplayer. Estimated Completion Time: About 20-25 minutes. I agree that if the review is harsh you will not rage: Yes

Creativity: As long as it works with the gameplay it is good. However, I'm not a big fan of Sonic Lost Worlds, so I just judged how much I enjoyed playing it. Difficulty: Precisely. Do that. Detail: I do see several mountains in the gameplay trailer for Windy Hill Zone... Make them scarce though. Gameplay and Experience: One block parkour was one of my only complaints but see if you can add some extra creativity also. It is hard to replicate the game in Minecraft without a mod like GravityCraft or something... But as long as the gameplay is good, I will enjoy and praise the map. For now, brainstorm new ideas.
