Have you been already provided with the new account information?
No, and there's no need for it right now. Just give things some time, and one way or another, we will select a new mod (or two ). This is something best left for the current moderators to decide/discuss upon (that is, how we should choose a new mod(or two)).
Hi everybody! I'm not sure if any of you will remember or know me, but I used to be active in the CTM community.
I haven't played MC in a while now and haven't kept updated on CTM maps in general. I want to be active for a little bit (although I'm not sure how active the community is anyways), and I was wondering if there are any good maps built around 1.8 you guys can recommend.
Also, if anyone that remembers me wants to collaborate on a map with 1.8 mechanics or play a map together, email me at [email protected]
Hey everyone, in my new map I was planning on doing a fancy redstone quest thing in the beginning. You go around and find 3 hidden things in the starting area(to help you gear up) and I want to change a scoreboard objective after you find each chest.

Well you are setting the score of player "objective" to five. In your case you probably want to do:
/scoreboard players set @a test 5
@totallyaveragemark
Hi, welcome. You can't make creepers disappear completely. You can setup a redstoneclock pointing into a command block with the command:
/tp @e[type=Creeper] ~ -1000 ~ (tp them in the void).
What you can also do is type
/gamerule mobGriefing false
Then creepers will still exist but won't destroy blocks.
I don't know what you want to do with block 36, but at the moment it does behave just like air, except that mobs think it's solid. Oh, and you can't place blocks in it. You need an external editor or /setblock to place it, /give does not work.
The problem is that the command block- /testfor @a[score_test=5] or /testfor @a[score_min_test=5] does'nt work.
EDIT: Never mind, a friend on a server helped.
eh. the block 36 thing is just frustrating me. I'm good at redstone that I can see at least.
The problem with turning mob griefing off is that I'd have that for one area. I'm sure someone would exploit it or something. I wanted to make a start zone out of diamonds you see, but for there to be no way of obtaining them until near the end of the map. i'd also limit sand as well so TNT can't be a thing.
How does this thread work exactly? Is it like owned by one all knowing person? Kinda like vechs' thread a while ago?
This thread is people talking to eachother. Nobody owns it realy, just a bunch of general CTM fans grouped together.
What you need to do with b36?
And I'd recommend not making a start zone out of diamonds. People can get a pick and come back :p. There's a reason vechs decided to quit it too
I keep wanting to make small maps then I remember 1.7 happened and how on earth do you mapmake again? xD
lol, I know that feel XD
Any maps I make will have to be terraformed in 1.6 and then finished off in 1.8. And no way can I do all that advanced redstonery and command-blockery although i'd love to because it looks pretty swish.
Also @Ragirk your stuff looks amazing as always! Really love that one with all the hardclay

I think block 36 got removed from the game in 1.8. I know that a lot of those "technical blocks" can't be obtained or placed any more...
If you want to make a zone out of diamonds, but not have them be accessible until the end of the map, then you have to either disable mobgriefing and make it impossible to get TNT (I think they're separate things, so you have to do both) or constantly delete diamond item entities (like, delete them before the player can pick them up).

Mapmaker and LPer of Complete The Monument (CTM) maps.
Creator/owner of the CTM Community Mapping Server - ask about it on the CTM Community thread!
Current projects:
Thanatos - a subterranean semi-open-world urban CTM
Titan's Revolt - a collaborative project run by ProjectCTM; sequel to Pantheon
Pinnacle - a "sketch" mini-CTM intended for newer players (nearing completion!)
So, I ask you my fellow map makers, what do you do when you don't have to inspiration to make a full 16-wool map AND you have too many ideas to fit it into a mini-ctm?
Oh yes, I didn't introduce myself. Hi, I'm Aurabolt. How you doin.
I am a Twitch streamer who loves player exploration-based RPGs and games that follow the same mold, but my biggest thing right now is CTMs because I'm such a huge fan of the idea of the genre-building and creating towards a specific goal, adventure and combat-I've never been very good at building, but I was always good at getting resources for others when I played multiplayer and protecting my friend's homes from the mobs. I tend to come on here, give my opinions over certain areas, tell people I'm streaming and light a fire under these guys sometimes.
So I started playing Sea of Flame, and got my butt kicked. Then I started streaming it. First with Xsplit, and now with OBS.
I tend to stream on weekends, but this week is special due to being Thanksgiving, so I'm gonna stream today, pretty much right after I post this. My stream is in my signature.
In terms of skill....I'd say I'm alright? I've beaten both Ragecrafts and two Super Hostiles. I'm currently playing the Simulation Protocol series, and Laingral. I tend to die more than I'd like, but people appear to think I'm actually good at Minecraft exploration and combat, so...I'll let you be the judge. Nice meeting you, AlHexahedron.

I love negative enchantments
So for those of you that don't know, I'm the dude who discovered the not-so-well-known negative enchantments and what they do. Because of the 1.8 rewrite, I decided to test them again and see what changed, if anything. To my great pleasure, two enchantments that before did nothing when they were in their negative form now do stuff
Looting- Negative looting makes it be impossible to get rare drops from mobs (iron ingots, potato's, etc.). Meanwhile, if used on custom mobs, they drop nothing. No natural drops, no rare drops, no custom drops; just xp. I dunno about ya'll, but for MH maps, this sounds like a really cool mechanic and a way to nerf super swords
Fortune- Negative forune also makes you get nothing. Previously, it would crash the game, but now, when you use it on blocks that fortune usually affects them, it makes them drop absolutely nothing(still, they give xp). Somewhat less relevant than looting IMHO, but still pretty nifty.
Other than that, negative depth strider does nothing, and everything else is the same as always.
Not to burst your bubble, but we knew about them before you found them...
I mean you did find out some new uses that others hadn't thought of, but you didn't really discover them.......
I meant negative item enchantments, not negative effects. Although if you do mean negative item enchantments, what did you know about them before me and where did you find out about it?
Hi, I'm an idiot, so can you answer some redstone for me?
Okay, so you press a button, and it says text
"Go find 3 hidden objects"
Then there's conversation and crap(i can do that)
Then next time you press it(without the 3 hidden objects found), it says "Have you found the objects yet?"
But if you press it with the 3 objects found(I already did all the scoreboard stuff, if you find all 3 hidden objects, it recognizes it with a test for), it says "Good job" and gives you items.
---------------------
So basically, how do I make it so if one testfor doesn't work, a different signal goes off?
For example, one command block says "testfor points=1"
Some pics from 2 another areas. I've changed my plans. My 2nd map won't be composed from 4 huge areas with 4 civilizations. I don't know exactly how it would look, but what I know, it will be called The Rainbowman.
Erherm...also as for the new mod thing....I'm a maybe for now(AKA I'm considering volunteering for it)....maybe....

Thanks in advance!
I tried it in creative and nothing worked.
So first I did
/scoreboard objectives add test dummy test
/scoreboard players set objective test 5
Then when I have on a clock:
/testfor @a{score_test=5}
It says invalid UUID.
Help!

It's @a[score_test_min=5]

Dis gon b gud
SACRIFICES HAD TO BE MAAAAAAAADE!
(also brown may or may not be a bonus wool )
EDIT: ok so what do you guys think of this area
I'm trying to draw attention away from the walls, which is why i made them obsidian. I know its not the prettiest area, but is it acceptable?
