The AMA has been going great so far, thanks to everyone who has hopped over there and left a question for me. It'll stay open through Sunday, so if you come up with another question, feel free to ask it! I've been having a blast answering them, both the serious ones and the not-so-serious ones.

I mean, putting my disdain of Vechs aside, SI received a major update a while back that made it much less newb-friendly, and it heavily imbalanced the charm that the original had with overblown mob-spam.
Not blaming you for not knowing this, but it's worth mentioning.

Please. Please don't stop this map for any reason. This looks absolutely beautiful. There are so many fantastic looking maps coming out soon, and this one may be the most impressive I've seen (Mostly due to it being the first time you've created a CTM map).
Oh, and as for the picture itself, it reminds me of Heliceo's style. And no, that's most definitely not a bad thing.
Oh, and uh.. what happened to the front page? It may just be messed up for me, but it looks rather horrifying to me.

Hey there, and welcome to the 5th (and hopefully final) rendition of the "CTM Communty" thread! Here, you can find reviews of popular (or otherwise) CTM maps, schematic downloads, and a community of CTM mapmakers and map-players alike. You can make a single post promoting your map, or participate in the current conversation with others.
This thread will be run slightly differently than the previous threads, however. The account the thread was made by is a joint account started by Drago, so as to allow multiple people to edit the OP and keep it up to date and hopefully last longer than the previous renditions, whose creators went inactive. If you ever have any need to talk to us about this thread - whether it be something's out of date, incorrect etc., feel free to shoot one of us a PM by clicking our names below!

NEWS Zap's Update, 13th of October - ADMIN APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED! Welcome Krose, Jollee and Everguard to their new positions as admins! They will be helping us in keeping up with the constant torrent of new maps and reviews coming in (wink wink, mapmakers and reviewers). Be sure to say hi! (Even though that might make no sense to you because you've seen them on the thread before!)

CTM maps are a kind of custom map pioneered by Vechs, centered around Completing The Monument. They are known to have unique and hostile terrain, deadly and effective use of mobs, and present difficult challenges to even the most seasoned of Minecraft players.
What should I post in this thread?
Anything CTM-related goes! Celebrating completing a map, announcements about a map you, or someone you know, has just released, pictures for an upcoming map that you're working on, or just general conversation with others who love CTM maps.

List of CTM Subgenres
MiniCTM - Mini CTM maps: Smaller, usually with only a limited number of wool, and sometimes rather difficult.
uCTM - Unique CTM maps: Hybrid or otherwise out-of-the-ordinary maps, like Kerblahh's Twisted Logic, Three_Two's Vinyl Fantasy, and Amehtta's Blue Sky Labs are nice examples.
LegaCTM - Legacy maps: These are older, outdated maps meant to be played with certain version(s) of Minecraft.
TrainCTM - CTM training maps: Everyone needs training. These are where you go.
RFW - Race for Wool maps: The Race is on to be the first to complete your monument! Multiplayer.
S vs. R - Suggestions vs. Rules maps: Maps with suggestions instead of rules (i.e. Super Docile.)
CTW - Capture the Wool maps: Take wool from the enemy's base and bring it back to your monument. im in ur baes, takin ur woolz. Multiplayer.
RTA - Rescue the Animals maps: Pioneered by Vechs and refined by timetoslide, these maps involve the player making a path back to the Victory Pen (or such like that) to deposit animals or otherwise.
CollabCTM - Collaboration maps: Including maps like Pantheon, to From Ashes, to The Ancient Catacombs, these maps are made through the combined efforts of more than one person.
ModCTM - Mod Dependent maps: Very rare, but sometimes, maps are made with mods.
HolidayCTM - Holiday maps: Considered separate from MiniCTM maps, these maps are centered around a specific holiday!
Drago! Use the full editor and it should no turn to code. However given how badly its messed up you'll have to completely remake the thread, but if you always edit it in Full Editor it should stay normal. (this is what i do to keep my thread from going code as i call it)

Finished some quick work on the victory monument area...it's coming out Tuesday!

Random Loot in maps completely change the gameplay from Hand Picked Loot. In my opinion there needs to be 2 different genre's for each type of map.
