Hi guys. This may be a difficult or impossible request, but here goes.
I'm looking for linear CTM's, that aren't too difficult.
My favourite part of CTM's is always the beginning, the part where the player struggles towards the first intersection. (Think the beginning of Legendary, or Kaizo Caverns, or Spellbound Caves.) That bit where the entire dungeon is linear, and the creator knows exactly what resources you have access to before the map opens up, both in resource count and in places you're allowed to go.
Sadly, I'm also a bad player. I'm guessing that most linear CTM's are made with the intent to strangle the player on resources, which is so that the player is forced to tackle challenges head-on. In other words, linear CTM's are perfect for sadistic maps, but I just can't handle hard CTM's.
So, do any of these fairly linear, relatively easy (For CTM's anyway) maps exist? If so, I'd be very grateful if someone could direct me to them.
Well if you want an easy map you could always play To Greener Pastures, thats an easy map, or Tales of Dreadsky is another easy Linear map. And most of Vechs maps are Fairly Easy. Those are just some examples and please dont get offended if I call your map easy.
On a slightly different note, this may or may not be useful to various people :/ http://donjon.bin.sh/fantasy/name/#setting
(Its a random name generator for things like dungeons, weapons, etc. Do as you wish with it :P)

This looks really cool, definately gonna use some of these names, thanks for the tool BMajor
Question time! What theme do you think people most appeal to in CTM maps and why?
I don't think the theme is NEARLY as important as the execution. Don't try to go for a complicated theme if you can't pull it off, but don't sell yourself short with the generic "Nether seeping into the overworld" dealio. (although, corruption can be pretty cool if you pull it off right and introduce it gradually)
There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.
If anyone wanted a 1.6.1 Single Player commands version file and/or a Forge version just pm me and Ill drop you the link :). Oh yeah and if you do want one remember The Flaming Karrott when you making loot in your map its enchants are fire aspect 4 and whatever else you want
Yep, its also all set up for craftscripts which I forgot to mention! So at that point its just standard installation for them! Oh yeah it also has TMI with it to :D. Ill pm it to you.
Yeah thanks, probably improved so much because of you. I'm probably not going to play Minecraft for the rest of the day since it took me so long to make that area.
Looks very cool However, the block combo on the walls/roof looks a bit strange. I suggest you make those full stone...
I would agree, but full stone also doesn't work. For a nice block combo, add something with the same color scheme, such as stone, cobble, and gravel, with a little mossy cobble. THAT'S a nice block combo.
