I really don't think that we need a new thread, as I said before. It will revitalize the community for a little bit, but not long enough as to where it will be back to where it was before. We just have to wait for people to get more active. Post more things on here, more responses to community questions, gameplay ideas, things like that.
I don't think a new thread is necessary either. While I have nothing against a new thread, I just think all we need some is new moderators to step up. I know there are quite a few people here that are willing to lend a hand, myself included. With more attention, I feel like this thread can be everything it was 2 years ago.
Just gonna toss my two cents in: A new thread is kinda stupid. Just because we're above X number of pages doesn't mean we suddenly need a new start. It seems oddly counterproductive, when this thread was designed with being able to pass on the account to new curators so that this exact discussion never had to happen.
I'm working on giving account access to Arcaran so he can begin to properly work on the OP, since interest from previous owners has dropped off. If you'd like, I can add you in to that as well Krose, and you two can work on formatting the OPs. I can even give you guys extra posts if the current 5 somehow aren't enough.
I'm still here to continue moderating, ect., I just simply don't have the time to post on here as much, especially since most conversation takes place in the Skype chat anyway.
Just an idea, I think we should add a few active official mods, if it is Acaran and Krose that's fine but I think we should create a group to make decisions and keep this thread alive and well. While the OP is a thing that needs to be fixed NOW I think that we should worry about things down the road and maybe make a group of mods that will better fit the community. Basically, just really hoping that the mods will be active and keep things alive and well around here.
EDIT: ALSO, you mention the Skype chat yet that isn't something a lot of us are in, myself included, it's unfair to use that as justification for why this thread is dying. But I'm pretty new but I've started to really love this community and I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon, but I think a few good changes could give it a push in the right direction.

Then we can start impeaching people, form a government start war over oil and nuke the world. But honestly all this moderator and new thread talk is making me want to walk away from ctm even more, people starting to go crazy, people are given more power, ouch.

I'm pretty sure he just types in the title of the video, copy pastes the video, and then posts it without bothering to look at anything else going on. He's just ignoring everything going on in this thread, so that's probably what's leading to him unintentionally spamming the thread. I actually doubt he'd read a private message directed towards him to simply stop posting videos because he seems to be so set on just posting a video and walking away. But I have to agree that we have to somehow get his attention to make him stop because this is getting obnoxious, and quite frankly, majority of us here have played Legendary already and didn't enjoy it as nearly as much compared to other maps such as the RC series. (Legendary was good at the time, but now it's garbage)
And in the off-chance that he does read this, post your videos on Vech's thread. It's his map after all.

That being said, there's nothing stopping you from upping and starting a new thread under your own account anyway, or reaching out to Fangride through Skype/Twitter (Drago seems quite dead) to obtain the login details to the CTMCommunity account.
The Op will get updated. I'm already in touch with Fang but there is the problem that he doesn't have the login details so we are now waiting if Drago shows up so I can get to work. If not, well, Hope there is some way to recover or reset the password .
I'm assuming this has been fixed now? Since Fang mentioned something in a later post... If not, or if you need any more info, change of account emails, etc., lemme know, I'll be glad to help.
I know Drago and Fang originally intended for this thread to be passed down the generations. But, come on. Two years, and the thread hasn't been properly cared for for 75% of that. That "Al" guy came in, and then he went, because the OP was such a mess, the challenge of tending the existing gargantuan thread possibly too much to deal with. Just get a new thread, a new OP with all your rules and whatnot, and leave this generation of CTM Community behind. That's what I say.

If you guys are still intent on starting up a new thread, or that idea ever comes up in the future, personally I've got nothing against it. It can be fun to see a completely refreshed OP every now and again, and getting new blood in on a project like that is always good. What I would suggest is that you use the CTMCommunity account for a new thread, instead of using someone's personal account. That way, you can keep shifting control as interest from different parties both grows and shrinks. This thread was meant to be one of the solutions to the constantly-shifting Community threads of old, but the account is the key to that solution.
Anyway, nice to check back in, and good to see our ol' pal Vechs is up to more shenanigans...

It was passed on, but the ball was dropped by the person it was passed on to. Acaran has the account info (finally, took forever to find the up-to-date one, as I don't use it personally, since I don't need another account in order to edit the thread), and I'll be adding Krose to that PM as well.

The proposed update to the front page looks good, and is certainly needed. While we're reorganizing stuff though, what does everyone feel about the current review structure? I know I'd prefer a more holistic description, since right now we have the "overall enjoyment" rating that of course does nothing to the overall score. Even if we don't change the score system, I'd like to see reviews encouraging lots of detailed writing and descriptions, as words give convey a lot more nuance and information than a few numbers.

Looks good! One thing though is that it looks a little crowded and there may not be a good sense of direction in the area. Then again thats just telling from one angle.
I had school so no works been done on my map in ages sooo if anyone wants to help me put in loot and spawners it would be much appreciated. Other than that have a Merry Christmas or Hanukkah or whatever you celebrate. *Moonwalks back into lurkerdom

So I talked to Vechs on Reddit and ended up sending him over here, upon seeing this message he said:

Who in their right mind would want to deal with that crap when they are trying to have fun? It felt so good to just abandon the forums, because a lot of stress disappeared. If it makes you feel better I did at least click your link, but the very first thing I see is toxicity.
I'm done with that.

EDIT: If you asked me yesterday I would have told you I hated Vechs because I thought he was cocky and abandoned the community but after talking to him he's a genuinely good guy who left because people just gang up on him... it's a shame really.
Notes: Fang edit: The post referenced has been removed. Can't believe it wasn't reported. Not putting up with that.

How do I erode less bad.
Last time I used mcedit I remember the erode tool always looked TOO rough, but now I get whatever this is
