Hardcore minimaps. Nay or yay?
The Lake of Mirrors has just been buffed to the extreme, and you'll probably all die. That's intentional, I told my betas I wanted it to be hard!
But what would everyone prefer; it being hardcore, so you have to start again every time but get a fresh slate with the spawns and time of day, or it being non-hardcore, where you'll have to go back and retrieve or recraft your stuff (and potentially fight to get monument pieces back again if losing them in death)? Bear in mind there are two wools, one in each of the "areas", but both areas, despite being big, don't give you that much breathing space (ie you'll probably never be out of range of a spawner... again, intentionally!)
Edit: there's only 1 wool in each box, so if hardcore was turned off, I'd probably have to provide more. Opinions?
Im thinking do it in hardcore, Want to send it to me and ill take a look and tell you if i think you should make it hardcore for that map ?
Ehh, I've never actually played hardcore mode before, but if your going for a ROMhack hard map i'd go hardcore, but if you want to see victory screenshots go normal mode
Skeeto didn't you say recently you were giving another group of people a new verison of your mini map ? If so im willing to give some feedback if you don't have enough people
Well, I'm gonna give it to my existing betas first, but if none of them play it I'll send it to you three (Krose, Kaider and you I believe!) But I'm not gonna worry about too much testing, it's only a minimap!

With one wool hardcore is fine. However if the map is super difficulty having to unzip the file over is annoying. If you could have multiple copies of the area in the map (not for whole ctm's) if the person dies they are sent to a reset map that would be better. Hard is the same actual damage as hardcore so there would be no difference in the actual difficulty if you just played on hard.
I think you went a bit too much off-topic in the latest podcast.
You should have a sheet with the topics you want to talk about that every one has, go through it and let everyone say something about it. When everyone has said something then you can go on to the next topic.
I'd also recommend one of you to be the host that will take the responsibility of the podcast in terms of the flow and passing around questions.

I am going to try and change some things you mentioned.
About the sudden change of area size:
I4 was made 2 months after I3 (hard drive crash), in that time I realised my areas were too small, so I *slightly*
increased the brush size in MCEdit. Apparently a bit too much. I also planned on making Aima Castle at least 2 times bigger. Glad I didn't
Hey vitto, yea sorry about that, But yea the area size jump was just a little to big, But a great map TBH

I have a community question, is it just me, or do other people get killed by random bad luck/creepers on the way to an area? Because I had beaten this section of the area and just blarged all over because of dying on the way to the incomplete section x.x
