Well, I haven't updated to 1.6.1 yet! Shame on me, I know...
You don't even have to update, really. Just download the launcher, you can still access 1.5.2 through your old icon.

There ain't much left of the world these days. The gods have forsaken us, there's no denying that. But still you press on. For what? A chance to sift through the ashes one last time? The hope to one day be called a hero? Whatever your reason, you've got a lot of work to do. The corruption won't leave without a fight, so you better get started.
Comments: ColdFusionGaming blissfully guides the player through Monstrosity's Beautiful aesthetics and unique/ invigorating gameplay. He utilizes custom mobs that are difficult but manageable and poke the player to use different tactics to complete an area. The optional bonus monument appeals to the more observative player. Thats one of the most amazing things about the map is that you can tackle areas slowly and find all the extra bonus loot and prizes or you can rush and skip over the optional areas and complete the main monument and be done. The only reason this map is not a 10 is the last area which is a disappointment gameplay wise. New CTM makers should take a page out of CFG's book gameplay wise as this map makes you want to beat it its difficult not punishing! Overall Monstrosity is my favourite of all time and is a must for gamers with a few CTM's under their belt!
I FINALLY got a mic thats not total crap so I may be making CTM LPs/build videos sometime in the future! yay!
Also. For those of you that don't know the CTM Jam has a poll up to vote for the different maps made + download links to play them. Go check it out
Also: Community Question, What are some of the best mini-maps you have played. I don't have the time to do a full CTM now but I would love to do a little something before I go on vacation.

Community Question Time!
Question: Do you think it'd be possible to do a class-styled CTM map with the standard classes of a ranged, melee, or magic class? I guess an RPG style CTM map, if nothing else

This is in a way how my maps play. They offer magic melee and ranged weapons. Whenever a player lets plays it they may not releaize it but they drift towards one of the classes. I could help out if you want i've always wanted to make a map like that.

It would be very difficult. You could do it but how would you prevent people from taking loot meant for the other classes, keeping buffs after death, etc. It seems like it would be very hard.

I don't like that idea. CTM's are all about using everything at your disposal to conquer a challenge, limiting what's in your disposal limits gameplay quite a bit.

but you could do something like the skylights and have to chose one for the start of the map.

Possible? Yes.
Tedious? Probably, if you decide to cover up any breakable aspects.
Breakable? Unless you make something like the armor as a weapon (for a minimap) it'd be very hard to do.
Cool idea, seems impossible to make (from my perspective)
Hey all. Planning on streaming CTMs for the peoples because that is the way of the game. Also wanna try out my greater memory output, so come on down. Link is in the description, as always.

Nice review. I remember back when monstrosity was on the CTM server, and it seemed like nobody liked it but me. Glad to see someone shares my opinion; I should really go back to it and play it on my own.

Really can't come up with blocks that mix with this nice. Any ideas?
Srry for the stone thingy left, fixing that now
Orange and brown clay with gravel and stone might look good I don't have access to a computer to test it out though.
