If you think you're a rubbish map maker, would you like to see the first draft of my map? I've had 3 drafts of it so far and the first(Mde entirely in worldedit) was the worse.
@Red So, I haven't started on the banner since I really have no idea what to put into the background, any idea?

Every bloody CTM map series boasts that it's bigger, longer, and harder than other CTM series. It's almost as if it's a **** measuring contest. (bigger, longer, harder...)

I only meant in the sense that I never have scematic chests will be in my next map, but probably not as many as that... and anyway, I bet my first ever attempt at a map would be worse than yours!
Edit: oh hey page get
I have a schematic of a chest with more schematic downloads in a book in the chest in the schematic.
My schematic chests are color coded for conveiniance in my world. (they sit on top of mineral blocks, it's just for me.)
Lapis is week loot I just give out, Iron is better, Then gold, diamond is end game, Emerald is flat out op that I rarely use.
Then I have bedrock (not loot), Obsidian (secret loot), and Sponge (troll loot).
I also have teleporters so all of my destructive testing takes place in designated areas FAAAARRRRR away.
Okay, so I just though I should share this neat little trix with the community, because I've been using it alot and it can be extremely useful in certain situations.
So, If you want to use beacons in your CTM map, you must be pretty careful, due the fact that for the beacon to work, you need to have a pyramid made out of "gem" blocks below it.
If you don't want the player to get access to the blocks, simply just incase the pyramid in bedrock, and then put an ender frame on top of the beacon. Ender frames are transparant so the beacon can "shine" through it and is non-breakable in survival mode.
I dunno how well known this trix is, but I just thought I should share it with you guys.
Did you steal that trick from me? Someone was asking about it ages ago, and I spent weeks experimenting with beacons thanks to my puzzle map (in my signature!). I figured out which blocks it went through, and found the End Portal Frame was perfect for CTM maps as its unbreakable. I posted about it somewhere too :3
And your test worlds crack me up. So neat and organized. I can barely keep a test world straight without turning it into something. The shell of my puzzle map was built on my test world when I was testing beacons and then I lost that save after my kindly computer crashed.
Hi everyone.
Red, when you are ready for map reviews, I can give you a review of blight castle, and whenever SAAV comes out, I'll review that too.
Maybe I'll even make my own map soon TM.
Yeah, you are probably right.
I'll be following this thread though.

So that's why I couldn't destroy the 'beacon' when I was using my iron pick... '-' I'll definitely use that sometime.
Oh by the way, it's a great map so far, got past the first dungeon with a bucketload of stuff, and a diamond sword.
Nobody is ever the first for anything except the people that are.
The end.
WHAT?!
Danger zone.

Edit: I'm going to make it after school.
Yep, that definitely describes the CTM community...
Hey look, It's Red! (Literally)

This was my first attempt at map/making made entirely in world edit/SPC

That looks pretty good
