Anyone here know how to make arrow spawners? I'm using Kamyu's Custom Spawner tool, and really need to figure out how to do this, or else an area for my map is useless. I know how make the spawner itself, just not how to program it. (where the arrow starts, which way it shoots, etc.)

You can edit the directional velocity and where it spawns with Kamyu's, I believe (I use the filters).
Oh, and Apollo, I wouldn't mind building a mage's academy if you don't want to. Also, do prisons count as residential buildings?
Just rage-quitted inferno mines and I only had the green black and brown left :/ Ugh that last area man so many spawners it was cheasy...I had full protection 4 diamond armor + regen and still died like come on seriously!!!
*Takes a deep breath*
I just submitted a building to you apollo hope you like it was inspired by vintagebeef's house!
Hopefully someone LPs TCOMH, but I'm kind of doubting if anyone will. There are a lot of maps out there, and TCOMH probably won't be the best.
Ah, whatever, i'l LP your map when it's out sounds pretty decent.
Anyways, I'm making a CTM map which is a "fallen kingdom" (<--- that's not gonna be the name) whcih has been taken over by demons (netherrack, blazes, ghasts). Anyone got a name for the map itself?
Thanks, forchane
I don't understand the obsession with SH.
I'm glad that atleast someone is quitting the map because it's not good enough instead of eating the crap up just because it's SH.
The obsession of SH stems from them being the first CTM maps available and at the time they were extremely innovative. But yeah I was very disappointed with the last intersection :/

Corrupt Kingdom? Fallen Utopia? Synonyms of *evil* *city*?
Dead threads are on page 5 and haven't been posted in for weeks. This was on page 1 and was last posted-in today.
Sorry, but it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine when people incorrectly diagnose a thread to be dead. Perhaps it comes from running a slow-moving forum and have a few troublesome members who always say that the forum is dead, when in reality, it's much more active than it was before.

I'm still on Intersection I... Does that make me a Zisteau?

wow. It's funny how similar ideas can be. Once I finish the map I'm working on (it's pretty awesome), I was going to start a map on a gigantic floating island. It would be a crumbled kingdom, with the name "Scorched Ruins". I'm not completely sure I'm doing it, but there's a large possibility.
plz don't use that name

That sounds really cool! You could make it really realistic, i.e. very large compared to the player.
I'm thinking it'll have to be large anyway, as it will comprise the entire map.
Right now, my plan is for it to be short length and ROMhack difficulty, and a lot of the wools would probably be pretty close to each other. But who knows; I've still got to finish Dreadsky Depths/Heavens, and only after that will it become a priority.

The ways of the lazy mapmaker.

I didn't mean that in a lazy way. I meant something more like there would be multiple wool in an arm of the fortress (like three at the top of three close together towers), similarly to how there are multiple wool in an area of a Linear-Branching map.

Nah, I know you didn't mean it that way, I'm just messin' with ya. Usually people will just throw in loads of spawners in a small area to make it really hard, so that it will still take time to get through that place for the player, without having to put in much effort on the mapmaker's part.

Just letting you all know I am here, just busy offline. Wanted to let whoever's interested know that I'm no longer going to be starting up a new rendition of CTM Central due to stuff. Red never replied either, and you all seem cozy here. But if anyone wants to take up the gauntlet of running a multi-admin thread then you may use the ideas I've discussed. If not, then that's fine too
Anyway, I'll still be posting on here occasionally, and also answering pms, but may be quitting mapmaking for a while :/ in all honesty Underoot was becoming a bit of a headache... I should return to it one day, though.
How's everyone's maps doing?
Hey!
In all honesty, I think I may make a new thread using the multi-admin idea you discussed, but I'm not sure yet. If nothing else, I think I might be the one best-suited to making a new thread in general.
That's unfortunate. Will you be quitting map-playing as well, or just mapmaking? I really hope it's the latter, 'cause DsI is due for a full release sometime this week.
As for maps, there have been a few notable developments on my end.
1. Yesterday I found out that there are three youtube channels currently doing LPs of my map (despite the no LPs thing I said in the beta spoiler thingy).
2. I'm making ridiculously fast progress through Dreadsky Depths; I've finished the first wool area, and about half-way through the second.
3. I put up a picture of the first area and a hangman puzzle for people to find out what the name was. Karrot ended up guessing it right with "Parasitic Paradise".
It may just be worth it to go back to wherever you left off in the thread and read through, or at least go back five pages and read from there, as there were probably a lot of details I missed.
Ok, community question time! So, I've had this idea that I think's great, and I'm going to be employing it in TCOMH, and wanted to see what you guys thought of it:
So the idea is that I make the Victory Monument in a hostile area, so that you kind of have to liberate and protect the monument, as well as restoring it to it's former glory. Just an idea, I might not use it in TCOMH. There would also possibly be a wool in the area, so it'd have to be big.

I found another LP series.
No it doesn't.

Gee, thanks! I'm glad that some people are interested in LPing it.

While chatting on Dylan's stream, we came up with the idea to make a full 16-wool map that takes place inside one gigantic Fortress.
And thus, the idea for my seventh map was born.

TCOMH's coming along well! I've confirmed that Dylan will be LPing it, which is great. I'm currently hard at work on Intersection II.
