I'm working on my first adventure map and it's turning out good BUT I have one small problem right now RE: lava. I have a part with some lava and some stuff that catches fire (wood fence, wool). I have use the /gamerule for stopping fire spread but I'm finding that fire is still spreading from LAVA. Is there another command or something that can help with this?
I need the wood fence to remain. It keep villagers from jumping out of the lava flow and the iron fence can't achieve this without stacking them two high, which visually doesn't work for me.
The gamerule doFireTick only prevents the game from running the code that decides to spread/extinguish fire that is currently present. It does not determine if fire can be created via flint+steel/blaze/ghast/lava. There is no secondary gamerule to accomplish what you want. The solution, however, is to use netherbrick fences, if that works for you visually - they can not catch fire.
