I don't think [CTM] would have much point since, again, CTM Community is fairly self explanatory. It's no better than Isaac's [CTM] [Shop] CTM Shop. T_T
I'd be behind CTM Community, because let's face it that's what the function of this thread is, the reviews don't go past the first page
All the CTM Listings threads (Goreae's, z_bill's, and Isaac's) all had reviews. This new thread should be no different. All those threads had discussion about CTM's but not enough people were doing reviews.
Don't post here until you see 4 reserved posts below the OP. Thank you for your cooperation :3
Welcome to the CTM Community thread. Here, you can find map reviews, schematic downloads, and a place to promote your own map and chat among others of the CTM genre that we've all come to know and love have a love / hate relationship over these past few years.
News: Thread is now up and running! In the coming weeks, I'll be working on getting reviews up, and get to listing more and more maps. Reviews will work a little differently now -- rather than short reviews for entire map series by multiple people, I'll be writing an in-depth review of every map. I might deviate to more reviewers in time, we'll see. Seeing how inactive reviewers on Isaac's thread ended up being makes me hesitant to take that route. As I have more free time, I can devote more time to playing maps. Along with keeping up with the thread, mind you. ;P
CTM Subgenres
- Regular CTM maps: Everyone's favorite, classic CTM map.
- Mini CTM maps: Smaller, usually with only a limited number of wool, and sometimes rather difficult.
- Unique CTM maps: Hybrid or otherwise out-of-the-ordinary maps, like Kerblahh's Twisted Logic, Three_Two's Vinyl Fantasy, and Amehtta's Blue Sky Labs are nice examples.
- Legacy maps: These are older, outdated maps meant to be played with certain version(s).
- CTM training maps: Everyone needs training. These are where you go.
- Race for Wool (RFW) maps: The Race is on to be the first to complete your monument! Multiplayer.
- Suggestions vs. Rules (S vs. R) maps: These are uncommon. They have suggestions instead of rules (i.e. Super Docile.)
- Capture the Wool (CTW) maps: Take wool from the enemy's base and bring it back to your monument. im in ur baes, takin ur woolz. Multiplayer.
- Rescue the Animals (RTA) maps: Pioneered by Vechs and refined by timetoslide, these maps involve the player making a path back to the Victory Pen (or such like that) to deposit animals or otherwise.
- Collaboration maps: Including maps like Pantheon, to From Ashes, to The Ancient Catacombs, these maps are made through the combined efforts of more than one person.
- Mod Dependent maps: Very rare, but sometimes, maps are made with mods. It's not the most common thing, but it does happen.
- Holiday maps: I consider these to be separate from Mini CTM maps, because they're centered around a somewhat common theme - a specific holiday!
-- Final List (for review tagging): CTM, MiniCTM, uCTM, LegaCTM, CTM Training, RFW, S vs. R, CTW, RTA, CollabCTM, ModCTM, HolidayCTM.
Upcoming Maps
To-Do List for the thread
- Finish up the OP.
- Start getting a defined list of map series down on the second post
- Write up the reviews templates and start reviewing on the third post
- Schematic hunting for the fourth post
- Notify everyone that the fifth post has no current use (Tl;dr the fifth post is just incase of lolidk.)

Looks good to me! You sure you'll have enough time to do all these reviews though?
I think it's a good idea doing singular maps though, I was talking to Isaac about it and it seems this thread focusses only on series of maps, so if my second map were reviewed then RH wouldn't be considered for a separate one, even though the two are going to be entirely different...:s
Also, Red, I know you said you won't but if you do need any help, let me know, I'd love to be involved if you need anyone
Yeah, I felt individual maps were the way to go, because honestly, Endless Deep and Legendary were both Super Hostile maps, but one is lackluster and one is awesomesauce. Yet they'd both fall under that high rating.
Also, what Mr. Sniper said. :3
I'll probably post a somewhat-done OP around 1:30 EST (40 minutes from now) and then get typing again.
Meh, I'll post it in a few minutes. I can keep typing then.

Sweet I'll hoop on that thread once you do your reserved posts.
The OP is up, feel free to read but don't post yet. That stupid add-new-post-to-previous-post thing keeps mucking up my ability to make reserves. Imma wait 15 minutes then try making reserves again.
Now I'm on my laptop rather than my iPod and can actually see this... ZOMG. THE LAPIS! Looks awesome, which area is this?
Not finished yet, but it's Water's Tornado. The building is Aquas Tower.
About the new CTM thread thing, I was thinking of:
[CTM] Community Collection [Collection] CTM Community
It acts like a collection of maps already made, but is also a collection of new WIP screenshots posted by map makers. A collection of everything when it comes to CTM.
Red, good luck on this. I can't wait to see it!
Aight guys! Red has made the new CTM Shop thread. Although he didn't ask me my permission to do it, I don't mind at all. I was sort of hoping someone would make a new one, because I just don't think I'm going to have time to continue this thread.
I am playing Minecraft again somewhat; spending most of my time on the wonderful Project Ares servers though. This means not much progress on my CTM maps, or on this thread.
y'all can keep discussing things on this thread, or let it die. Whatever you want. Community can has decide. Hope it's been useful (as much as a derpy Isaac thread could have been) to you!

The thread has kinda already died. Red's new thread has 6 pages already, but you should still do your ctm's I loved the two your thread had(yes I'm counting the mini-ctm). They were great and I would like to see more.

Anyone have the link? I don't know a member named "Red"...
WHAT?!

Yeah, that sounds ideal.
